In short: Good atmosphere, but very undulating course with one killer climb!

In short: Hot and Hilly
In full: This is a race, not for a PB, but for the challenge and satisfaction on completion. the hills, 3 or 4 of them, are all tough. the first coming within 1k of the start, the worst is the long relentless climb up towards Naesby. Water stations yesterday a must, I don;t normally drink on a 10k, but, yesterday much needed refreshment. The sun and heat were a factor in the pace, but for feel good factor this race cannot be beaten. Some of the messages for relatives and freinds lost to their personal battles makes the pain worthwhile. The Family dash after was also good fun for the children taking part, although being beaten by an 8yr old is tough to take(did I let her win, or had I just run out of steam, we'll never know!!)

In short: Very hot but a real feel good factor to have completed the race.
In full: The organisation was much better than last year. The site layout and the other activities to occupy the non running family were good. The lack of chip timing did not bother me as I agree with the idea of saving the cost, but unless I have missed them, manual timings would be useful. This is often carried out at similar size races and should not be above the realms of possiblities.

The race itself was superb, very hot but in recent years we have had cold weather so give me heat any day. A great event, will be back.

In short: Hot and Hilly
In full: Excellent organisation and attendance. Weather was blistering and there were some long hills; having one right at the start was a little unkind! Plenty for the family to do whilst I was suffering.

In short: Hilly, challenging and interesting. Brilliant race overall.
In full: This is the first time I have done the Daffodil Run but I'm sure it won't be the last. This was a great mix for club runners and fun runners to take part in a challenging course with amazing scenery.

The first half of the race was very much on the up but the second half meant for a fast finish if you had enough energy left. I managed a PB thanks to a great negative split in the second half.

We entered a work team into the 10k event and featured some first time runners who have now been converted and can't wait to enter their next race.

The only gripe I had (and it may have been my fault) was the positioning of the exact start. I thought it would be chip to finish and not gun to finish timing.

A ggod festival atomsphere at the end and certainly one of the best charity organised races I have ever done.

Well done Marie Curie.

In short: Lovely day out
In full: I did the 10k. Lovely scenic course, and a race for a great cause. Very good organisation (though could have done with a couple more car park stewards) and pro touches like bag store and chip timing. There are some challenging hills. Great atmosphere amongst us back markers, very friendly. Nice "village fete" feel post race with food stalls, market place and family stuff. Would definitely do it again.
