In short: Smashing.
In full: How awful of me not to mention the fantastic warm welcome, uplifting enthusiastic marshals, the great good bag , and last but certainly not least, The Stockport running club for a brilliant organised event. P.S. can you not organise a summer run of the 10 miler, i do the Woodbank park 10k, but it would be good to compare your Winter time to one in summer... this is for 2008 ? only has upto 2007 on here !!!

In short: Great race - great club - Cant wait till 2008
In full: So good to see such a great mix of athletes of all abilities and a wheelchair athlete on such a hilly course.

Great VFM, well done you Stockport Harriers !

In short: Friendly, fun and a challenge
In full: A good race and I hope to be back next year. Knew it would be hilly but not quite that hilly! However 'what goes up... must come down' so chance for a change of pace. Family enjoyed bouncy castle and all enjoyed hot pot. Goody bag humour appreciated and warm hat a great idea. Only gripe was poor placing of portaloos - in boggy grass so feet damp before start. However now know where 'dry' loos are for next year! See you then.

In short: Those hills are no easier 2nd time round
In full: 2nd time in this event. Very friendly atmosphere. Well organised. Nice course. Tough if you've done no hill training like me (again!) - but still good for beginners.

In short: Your not going to get a pb but if you ignore this race you'll be missing out on a real treat.
In full: Yes there are hills with the one at about 5 being the real beast but don't let that detract from what is a quality race. Yes the start was delayed so everyone could get their number but at least everyone got one. To start and finish on a track is always nice and to say it is well marshalled doesn't come even close to doing them justice. Bananas, milkshakes & juice at the finish plus without doubt the maddest goody bag ever (i liked the fleece hat, the meal worm and googly eye just left me perplexed!) make this a race that will have me coming back.

In short: Enjoyable as always
In full: Only a couple of small glitches that the organisers have said they will address for 2008.

As usual a real feel good factor here. This is definately 'the friendly race' and a major factor in why I joined a running club.
