In short: A Beautiful Squelch
In full: A lovely run through the woods and farm lands around Cranleigh. It was, as most people have stated, very boggy but once you realised that your white trainers weren't going to stay that way it was fun splashing around in the puddles! Shame there wasn't more space for spectators but coming on to the final straight was fun and noisy.

In short: Due to the weather a very Boggy, alot of fun, lovery off road route
In full: Nice mix of off-road, a bit of tarmac and an estate and a farm. The continous rain before made it a bog on the day but this added to the day in my opion. Time pens at the beginning worked very well and a well organised finish. Well done organisers. I will be back next year (hopefully with a little less mud)

In short: Well organised, friendly runners, flattish course with good scenary
In full: This was only my second 10k race, but as it takes place less than a mile from where I live, I was really looking forward to taking part. The recent rain made the course particularly wet and muddy, which added to the fun in my opinion. Running through the private estate at Baynards was a real privilege for a local who has never had the chance to poke around in there before. Pace pens meant a relatively smooth getaway at the start with little need for overtaking once the race was under way. Managed a PB despite the mud! Will definitely do this one again next year.

In full: Really liked this course. Generally flat and well sheltered from the sun on a warm morning. Well organised start with time 'pens'. Why don't more races do this? One idiot in an orange shirt who seemed to think that you overtake by elbowing other runners. Go out on your own next time! Thanks to the organisers. A top event!

In short: enjoyable local race
In full: a new race for me and i enjoyed it, had the weather not made it a water logged and muddy course the potential for a pb is there as it is flat. organisation was good and the course was well marshalled, parking was fine but i wish race organisers would put a post code on the entry forms to make it a little easier to find.
one moan would have to be about the medal !! it states cranleigh 15 miles !! not sure if this is a mistake or they were the left over medals from the 15 mile race back in march ??? would i do this race again ?? maybe if there was nothing else on.

In short: Small but friendly race. On route the spectators were out-numbered by the cows, but overall a nice enough event.
In full: The start was well-organised with runners separated into pace groups, just as well as much of the first 5 km was pretty narrow and very wet and muddy. Generally the course is very flat with one short hill. However the damp conditions slowed times. If the weather had been more summer-like then the ground would have been harder, but then an 11am start in July may have made it too hot for PBs; surely an 10am start would be wiser? Also I'd be willing to pay a pound extra and get at least a banana at the end. Medal was nice and a bit different, car parking was easy and plenty of pre-race toilets. Overall a nice, fairly quick 10k (potentially faster with dry weather and/or an earlier start).

In short: Fantastic race
In full: Can't fault this one at all. Heaps of parking, use of leisure centre loos rather than portaloos, friendly marshalls, excellent organisation. And plenty to keep the kids amused. Will definitely be back.
