In short: Very disappointing
In full: This was my first Half way back in 1995 when it was the old route via Rosyth. Although it has been changed a couple of times since it would have been nice for the route to at least have been in the heart of Dunfermline instead of the surrounding fields. This made for a very poor atmosphere. Would not do this route again.

In short: Great 'old-school', challenging and highly enjoyable event
In full: Tired of drag-strip PR company run races? This is a challenging but rewarding course - hilly, scenic with twists and bends and ups and downs. Stretches the muscles other races overlook! The weather was perfect - cool, little wind and a light drizzle throughout. The organisation was discreet but efficient. Kudos to all the kids who helped with the baggage and water. A true community event. It's the first event I have actually enjoyed this year and will gladly return to. I commend to all.

In short: Much improved course, more scenic and more challenging
In full: Great race, definitely not flat. Several sharp inclines and long steady gentle incline miles 8-11 on old railway. Well marshalled and well supported in the rain. Only suggestion would be to avoid the loop at the start and the car parks at the end and take us through the town before the finish in Pittencrieff Park, as on the old course.

In short: UP'd my PB so very happy
In full: Change of course since i last ran this race in 2006, Dunfermline still a great Town to come and run in. A few of those country hills made it interesting. Thanks again to Marshalls, and the people of Fife for thier support.

In short: Good race. Great setting.
In full: A good race with varying scenery. Excellent marshallers and a friendly atmosphere made this one to put in the calendar for next year.

In short: One of the best - great series - pity about Dundee as I was ready for all three. I hear there are course improvements being thought about for 2010. Too much chat at the start but the speaker said all the right things - could have bin briefer.

In short: A great day!!!
In full: Really enjoyed the whole experience of this race. Some tough hills to tackle in the sun but it was a good challenge and I look forward to doing it again next year, hopefully in cooler weather!

In short: Top quality organisation once again
In full: This is my fifth Dunfermline Half and once again it was very well organised. The marshalling, police and water stations put most other races to shame and all for £20 is good value. The route is the same as it has been for the last few years which isn't necessarily the most interesting or flat but as Dunfermline is pretty hilly its probably as flat as it could be.

I was delighted to hear that the council would be backing this again for next year particularly with Dundee falling through although the Lady Assistant Provest could have said it in a few less words.

Overall I managed a PB by 2 minutes on a tough course so I was delighted and would throughly recommend it to everyone for next year.
