In short: Well done to the organisers
In full: It's a shame this race was cancelled theday before but 2 inches of snow on track mean't that this seriously undulating race could pose the risk of slips and falls - not good if you've a spring marathon coming up.
I've enjoyed this course for the past 3 years but admit to not really fancying the revised course suggested on Wed which comprised of 5 GP laps and one indie circuit. That would have mean't 6 climbs and descends straight form the start/finish line.
Hope the oragnisers don't lose out financially and are adequately insured and that it doesn't put them off organising this once more next year.

In short: Vroom Vroom :o)
In full: I loved this 1/2!! It was everything I was hoping for, pigrims drop, druids bend.. it was fab. I even veered off into the skid pans at one point just for the fun of it :o). The stage where it went across the parkland in the footpaths was a little boring, but the rest was good. It was wonderful running on the track (despite the camber), and the wooded sections were lovely. The marshalls were all very positive and encouraging, although more assistance through the car park areas in terms of where we should be going would be helpful. Finishing in the pit lane was awesome, but the best thing was having the lights to start you off just as if we were racing cars, and yes I did have to go and stand on the pole position place... well you have to don't you???

In short: As a northerner I loved the hills!
In full: Very friendly and some good support adopted on the day. Some marshalling could have been better especially off the track and through the car park. The weather was perfect. The photographer at the end was really encouraging. Suprised more people don't do it. Would have liked a race specific medal.

In short: Tough Half, but very enjoyable
In full: Really enjoyed this and the weather was a plus for once. Lots of water stations (well only 2 but you pass 7 times). Shame the medal was more an advert for a magazine and the same for all the events, but never mind.

In short: Relentless uphill and downhill course... but a good experience
In full: This was a much tougher run than I expected (I found it far harder than the Maidstone half, which has a reputation for being hilly). A combination of warm sunshine, hard tarmac underfoot and almost no sections on the flat made it heavy going, particularly in the second half. The first hill on the course was a real killer third time around! But a great experience running on the course, decent organisation (apart from the delay at the start - the announcer's mic was off) and a good atmosphere. And nice showers, which were much needed after the pounding my muscles took. Thanks to everyone involved.

In short: Challenging course. Won't get a pb but will get a good workout.
In full: This is a pretty tough course, undulating and off road for a bit. Though it does bring more of a challenge than just a flat 13 miles. Good training for London

In short: Was any of it flat?!
In full: An amazing day. My first half marathon and I enjoyed everymoment, especially being started with the lights! All the spectators and marshalls were really friendly and encouraging. Had no problems getting in, finding parking or the start. With the blue sky and bright sun I'm going to be smiling for a while.

In short: Loved it...but those hills were quite something
In full: You don't get any sense of how steep the hills are until your on them. the amount of people who flew past me down them only to stagger up them at crawling pace, just because they were so steep.

Well organised, friendly, lovely scenery, easy to get to, loads of parking, good water stations, good goodie bag...really nothing to complain about at all.
Definately coming back next year

In short: It's a toughie!
In full: The course is tough for a half-marathon - you'd be pushed to find one with more hills; and some of them are killers! However, it's a great venue and with good weather, a very special race. I would hate to run it in bad weather though.
