In short: Perfect conditions, tough course but very memorable
In full: Fantastic 10k run, yes it isn't easy, but for every tough uphill there is a good downhill to relax on. Great finish in the castle grounds. Will definately do again.

In short: Good atmosphere, tough course, worst end to a race i have ever had!
In full: An undulating course with some pretty steep inclines! Good atmosphere and friendly marshalls.
Worst part- My family having to pay to watch the finish after driving up from Wales....not good. Next year just finish in the square eh?!?!

In short: Hilly - they picked the right sponsers there!!
In full: The hills were more than I thought possible. But somehow I managed to keep plodding up them. The marshalls were on the whole pretty supportive, and the route was beautiful despite the 14% hills. Obviously no PB in sight, but I really enjoyed the race and will be back next year.

Not the greatest bag of goodies at the end, and its sad that my family couldn't see me finish due to the cost of accessing the finish line.

In short: Tough challenging course, hills hurt, but strangely enjoyable!
In full: A great race, great marshalls and strangely enjoyable despite being very hilly with no chance of a PB.
A solid goody bag as well - gift, water, chocolate. Class.

In short: Very testing in parts , hilly but a good race.
In full: Great atmosphere, fabulous scenery. Great marshalls, very upbeat and positive and encouraging.
Hills were awesome, but I like running up hills so that was good... managed 56:36 which is a great time for me.
Couple of negatives though:- I hated the fact we were running on open public roads, there were times we were down to single file with traffic whizzing past, there were narrow footpaths but a lot of places we were running on the road itself and some cars were obviously impatient and I thought it a little dangerous. Also a bit disapointing when the people in front were running or walking up a hill and people wanted to overtake... difficult to do safely on a narrow country lane without footpaths and cross motorists coming past in both directions as well. !
Also the castle was still charging full price entry to spectators... which I thought a bit mean.
And the car parks were charging also !!! 4 hours on a Sunday was £2.50, which, ontop of the race entry and castle entry for my spectators made an expensive day... if you include the fish & chips too !.
But, I will be doing it again.. it was a testing hilly course and a lovely day with a great atmosphere.
