In short: A nice race
In full: Hi runfishgirl - I help to organise the race, and thanks for the feedback. One point however - the race is £6 per race for an Unattached runner regardless of whether you enter on the day or in advance. The £20 fee is for the series of all 4 races. So the charges are £4 per race/£12 series for Club runners, £6 per race or £20 for the series for Unattached. Those charges apply whether entering in advance or on the day, so there is no additional charge for one the day entries.

Hope that clears things up for you a bit, and hope to see you at the next event in November.

In short: super race, excellent organization, absolutely worth a try
In full: Very clubby race, only 9 of nearly a 100 were unattached runners, never the less it was very friendly & with excellent marshalls giving much needed support.
first mile and a half is uphill on stony paths, followed by small road section, back on to stony paths, then joy of joys two ploughed fields(at least is was dry),a few wet slippery grassy fields, more road and finally to the finish round the small footie pitch.
Thoroughly enjoyed this race and will definitely do again.
Also managed a PB even after being laid up the week before with flu.
the only negative thing i can say would be the cost of entry on the day, £20 a bit steep i feel, when its only £6 in advance.

In short: I liked it so much I'll do the series !
In full: This was my first off-road race and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I think I underestimated how much more effort was required for running at speed on this sort of terrain, but it hasnt put me off. Next year I'd like to complete all four.

In short: Great race, picturesque setting, but the first hill was tough going
In full: Very friendly race, well marshalled, and a goo off road course. I'll most likely enter the series next year.

In short: Great race, well organised and excellent atmosphere!
In full: First few miles are tough going- long hills and wind was against you, but nice downhill to the finish more than makes up for it. Excellent atmosphere and great prizes for runners.

The course was very well marked and marshalled. Will definately enter the series next year.
