In short: Best finishing for 10k yet, straight and down hill
In full: Awesome race, lovely morning. Great down hill finish after the previous inclines. Great all round crowd support. Dubious as to wether slightly under 10k as time was a little to good considering the inclinations!!

In short: Exellent day! Even with the rain, and wind.
In full: Well organised, even so on the day before when my son ran. The weather was changeable but added to the challenge. Edinburgh is such a beautiful place.

In short: Pity about the rain at the end
In full: For those of us who are simply 'joggers/plodders' by the time I finished the crowds had largely gone and it had started to rain.

However, having done a lot of hill work, it helped going up round Arthur's Seat.

In short: Killer hill and killer conditions combined!
In full: First time doing the Edinburgh 10k and after tackling the long steep hill in the middle - headlong into a gale - I swore 'never again'. Mellowing a bit now. I'd view this as a future physical challenge as PB potential is low on this type of course. Organisation was good. Goody bag was .. well a bag - and not much else! Surprisingly few spectators for such a big event .

In short: Really enjoyed my first 10k
In full: Only downside was that the chip timing differed from my watch time by 40 secs

In short: Massive queues for the toilets!
In full: For my first 10K race I thought this was good although I didn't enjoy the clamber at the beginning. I had to fight my way past hundreds of people and would def have broken 48mins if it had been clearer. On the whole it wasn't too hard and the scenery was great. I only saw 4 and 8 km signs which was good and bad.

In short: Great atmosphere in a spectacular city.
In full: Tough in the wind but the most scenic 10k I've ever taken part in.
Nice medal but bag not too good. Would reccomend people give this one a try next time.
