In short: Nice and Flat
In full: This race is nice and flat with enough variation of scenery so you don't get bored. There some nice spectators on the way and most of the competitors taking part are a friendly brunch.

In short: Well organised race with PB potential
In full: Firstly (with ref to earlier comments), my Garmin 205 made the course only 156 metres too long, which is well within the range of error for the the device and so for me, the course distance was not an issue. Perhaps it was the placing of the 12 mile marker that was at fault rather than the overall distance of the course?

The course was fairly flat, in fact most of 1st 6 miles was flat or downhill, so +ve splits likely with biggest up-sections in second half (esp last mile or so). Course was traffic free, and quite attractive in places (lake/canal/parks), so no complaints there. One long gravelly path @ about 9 miles was a little tiring.

Overall, a nice, well organised race on what I thought was a quite flat-ish course (got a PB) and also raising money for a very good cause.

In short: Venue, organisation excellent. Course tight in places, with 90 degree turns not grat for running. Enjoyable atmosphere, and friendly. my GPS had distance out by 205 m Noticed on google that the route was measured at 14 miles by map runner!!

In short: Would benefit from chip timing
In full: This is a nice race even if congested at the start - unexpected heat considering the recent weather! July should be hot but I thought it was going to be a nice refreshing run in the rain!

Nice medal - but a bit naughty to be given out last year's ones as well. Only know this 'cos one of my club mates got a different medal to me and having ran last year I knew why!

Cannot really fault the organisation but this race would better if chip timing was introduced. I would prefer to spend an extra couple of quid on the entry fee knowing that I was going to get an exact time (I've also been looking for the results on the website!!)

There are worse & better races than this but on the whole its ok. Maybe the distance needs confirming considering the amount of runners who are disputing the last mile (I knew my time was at least a minute off!!)

As always many thanks to the organisers & all the marshalls for giving their time - and thankfully not having to stand around in the rain!

In short: Well organized but undulating / boring course
In full: +: Well organized event. Friendly atmosphere. Not crowded.
-: The course is pretty narrow (cycleways) and undulating with underpasses, bridge above canal (360 deg. turn !!!), up and downs, etc.
This is not therefore in my opinion the best course for a PB. I would also question the last mile which took me an extra minute !!!
The scenery is pretty uninteresting which did not make it for me a very enjoyable day.

In short: Well organised, good atmosphere, narrow paths though at start
In full: Enjoyed the run although the temperatures were a bit high.
Got fed up with a few male runners who were to anxious to get ahead in the lanes and felt the need to push into spaces too small for them!!!! - I got kicked on 2 occasions hence the moan.......

In short: nice event, not convinced on accuracy of distance and needs more water stations. Worth a run
In full: Well organised with packs, parking etc.
My Garmin measured the course at 13.4, with the main discrepancy in the final 1.5 miles. I don't appear to be the only one questioning the distance at the end. I sped up and still missed sub 1.30! Also i timed myself from the gun and got my time 20secs faster than official result (as seen on my club site - ?where are the full results - 48 hrs later!

Enough moaning and being picky! Lovely run, nice route, good medal. Think i would do it again.

In short: Not the best course for a p.b. A bit narrow and congested, but an enjoyable run.
In full: 3rd time, so something must be right about it. Nice race for a slow runner to tuck in at the back, the congestion will prevent you racing off. Save some energy for the last mile!

In short: Really enjoyable race.
In full: Did this one 2 years ago. Weather was completely different then, pouring rain.
This year very warm.
Nice course , especially along the canal, good marshalls & water & sponge stations .Last mile ( was it a mile ) was a killer. This is a race where because of the congestion in the first couple of miles, you might as well just forget about times & enjoy the run. Thats not a bad thing to do now & again.I really enjoyed it.
