In short: Just as hilly as I remembered - but Muddy this year! Fantastic!
In full: If you liked hills and mud, this was your thing - the rain during the race washed you (briefly) cleaner! Great race, really enjoyed.

In short: A hidden gem of a race in the spring calendar
In full: It's the sort of race that you want to tell everyone about but secretly want to keep it to yourself in case masses spoil what is a great little x-country race. Good honest course that is challenging but not too tough with friendly marshals & even a few spectators at some points along the way. Some hills, some mud but not too many of either & a very convenient race HQ for those who travel by public transport. The sort of course that makes you want to go back there and do it again the following week. My only regret is that I didn't find out about this race years ago. And what's more - it's free.

In short: After about six miles I thought it was gonna be a piece of cake-How wrong was I!
In full: This was an excellent event, perhaps recovering from a virus is not the best time to try 15 miles of mud and hills, and it didn't disappoint my expectations of a no-nonsense, tough cross country. The marshalls were excellent (they must have froze!)one of whom even gave me a jelly baby!
