In short: Much better organisation at the start than in previous years - some definite PB potential.
In full: From a club runner's point of view, the start was much improved this year with a marshall asking for your PB over 5k before letting you into the start behind the elites.

I really love running this course around Hyde Park - it's a fantastic atmosphere with good crowd support and it's wonderful to see so many women join together for a great cause. I really do feel this is a race for all now. The only downside is the lack of toilets - the queues just before the start are HUGE every year. Please give us more loos next time!!

In short: Not a race for club runners looking for a PB
In full: Great race for beginners who want to walk / jog but useless for those that want to run the whole thing. I ran with a group of new runners who had trained to run the whole thing. We queued up correctly in the 30-35 minutes section - but from the outset we were trying to weave through walkers! If you're going to walk PLEASE start at the back and keep to the right and marshals, please make sure they do it!! All in all, very disappointing for my group. I know it's a fun run and people would say it's more about the charity - but as the front international runners proved it is supposed to be a race!

In short: Much better than before!
In full: Entered this with a little trepidation as have previously got well stuck in the crowds and finished in around 29 minutes. However, start has monumentally improved. Although I am not a club runner, had no problems accessing the sub 25 minute pen. Started a bit too quickly as found myself near Fatima Whitbread, who still looks very fit, and thought I would try and beat her (yes I know she's not a runner, but she's still 'an athlete'). Died a bit of a death at 2.5k, but recovered enough to finish in 24.22. Had a clear run for the first time ever, and stayed in front of Fatima. Plus had so many freebies (including huge bag of toiletries from Adidas), had an awful lot of things to take home on the train. Yes, T-shirt is quite big, but woman next to me on the tube was complaining it wasn't big enough > Maybe they could consider issuing a few different sizes. An enjoyable day.

In short: Gets better each year!
In full: I've run every race since the days it was the Flora Women's Challenge. Mush better this year as the organisers really tried to stop walkers starting right at the front to get their 5 mins of fame and actually start at the appropriate time marking. Still a few walkers to pass within the first 500 mins.

Great to run with so many women but if you're training and want a PB would suggest this isn't the race for you.

In short: GREAT ATMOSPHERE, GREAT RACE
In full: This was my 3rd time and as always l enjoyed myself , the first 2km was a bit congested but l got round and although l dread the hill at 4km l went up it with ease this time. This race always feels special and the atmosphere was great as usual.
The banners with the slogan :
EVERY STEP YOU TAKE MAKES YOU A WINNER did inspire me to get around the course.
See you next year

In short: Good Fun
In full: As a first timer I enjoyed the experience. A bit crowded and intimidated by some experienced runners in a hurry to get past - advice to marshals - have lanes for runners, first timers and walkers - easier all round -advice to some intimidating runners - start nearer the front and stop whinging about those of us not as fast, not in the know and there for the personal challenge.
