In short: Fast course, perfect for a bash at a PB
In full: The course is good, I rather like the turning points so you can see other runners and it's better than running straight along one long fen road! Bit of track makes it interesting and a good finish back through the village. Really nice welcoming atmosphere for all levels of runners. Thank you Thorney.

In short: Good flat course
In full: Lovely flat course in the Fens, was prone to the usual wind in your face at the turn at 2.4 miles. Am sure that one of the cone turns could be lost by moving the first turn very slightly further down, and maybe the start back a fraction, as two turns like that made it very hard. Saying that, despite the temperature on the day, still ran my best time in 2 years, so happy with that. Well done on a successful event

In short: Great 5 mile race!!!
In full: Efficient and friendly organisation (if you don't take into account the slowness of the presentation). Nice 5 mile race that I would highly recommend

In short: Always a Great Race
In full: Flat as a pancake
Lovely scenary
Great people

+This race has full PB potential and always very enjoyable.

Had a great day
BUT.........
no headphones in this race

The guy who made it his personal mission to flag down headphone wearers and put them off did ruin it a bit.... and put me right off.

This was a big shame as all the other Thorney marshalls were brilliant.

There should have been an announcement at the start of the race which clearly stated that wearing headphones was a no no. I would have resected their decision... slowing racers down mid race did not help at all.

Appart from that loved it as usual! Well done Thorney

In short: Well organised race
In full: Good race with plenty of marshalls. Flat course and not as windy as on previous occasions. Mainly club runners. Good atmosphere and got a pb. What more could you ask for.

In short: Nice race, very flat, not as windy as in previoous years
In full: Nice race as usual from Thorney. The course is very flat and ideal as a first race. It can get windy and exposed on the fen road, but it wasn't as bad this year as in previous years.

25th anniversary momento was a bit mean- we've had nicer bags from the folks at Thorney and was expecting something a bit more special for the 25th anniversary.

I would like to suggest that the joining instructions are updated to clearly state the rules about headphones etc as there was no mention of it on my instructions and had there been, there would have been no need for the referee to enforce the rule during the race.
