In short: Challenging hills, lovely scenery.
In full: This is my second time doing this race and am surprised at how few people run this one. Its a lovely place, well organised, nice t shirt. Challenging route with a couple of steep hills but some lovely undulating sections and a steep downhill.

In short: Steep climbs, exciting decents, lovely scenery - and chocolate!
In full: My first 13k race, so a PB was assured. Some lovely scenery; sweeping views from the hilltops occasionally made up for the killer hills to get there. Good marshalling, but could have done with a few distance markers, and another water station. Decent T-shirt and a chocolate egg (scoffed as post-race nutrition) were decent prizes for finishing.
Friendly atmosphere - with a mix of runners from the speedy whippets at the front to dogged plodders at the rear, everyone was cheered on to the finish.

In short: Who put that hill in?!
In full: Really lovely race in a superb setting!
Well organised, lovely marshalls and good value for money. Only 2 things! Could have done with an extra water station and also...just what was the distance this year?!
Be back in 2010!

In full: The course had an additional Hill to celebrate the 13th running - and what a hill it was - Made the race alot harder.

In short: Lovely day, challenging course, friendly people.
In full: Lovely sunny Sunday in North Devon, and a challenging canter through the woods and fields. Great organisation - friendly marshalls (and thanks to the chap at about mile 4 telling us what our position was!). No distance markers (that i saw) so you really did get the feeling of just being out for a run through unspoilt countryside. Easter Egg was a nice touch too.

In short: Challenging, but do-able
In full: This was the first off road I have done in about 8 years, so was a bi worried. 2 challenging hills up although the downhills were just as challenging for me. Great fun though. The weather hadn't been too bad so it was muddy but not too bad. Should imagine you could loose your trainers if the weather had been worse. The flat bits were lovely. I loved going off at the start to the sound of a what I think was a hunting horn.
