In short: Fast and friendly with potential for a personal best
In full: A second running of my local event and far more enjoyable in the cool weather. Really hope the organising team decide to keep the late March date rather than several months later.

The course itself is fast with two laps of a course primarily on roads with a short section on dirt track. There is a water station between the 2 and 3 mile markers and the marshals once again did an excellent job around the course.

Overall an excellent opportunity to run a fast 10k with a friendly and uplifting atmosphere. I'm sure that I will be back next year!

In short: Good value for money and excellent for first timers!
In full: Brilliant race for first time runners (very flat course) or runners getting back into it! It was my first race in two years after having my baby girl. Well impressed that you got a t shirt and medal great value for money!

In short: A good, well organised start to the year.
In full: Nice to have such a good start point. Changing/toilets really good as you would expect from a Leisure Centre. Carterton is one of the world's blandest towns so it was never gonna be high on scenery, but it was well marshalled, nice t-shirt, medal and banana. All very smooth and well organised, I just don't think I'd travel a long distance to do it. Big up to the Lady Mayor for handing out the medals.

In short: This10k was an easy first time event for a newbie
In full: Really enjoyed my first 10k event. Not a difficult course, one gentle quite long hill which wasn't too challenging. Well marked distances, lots of cheering for pepes at the bottom of the pile - me! Would do it again. Nice T shirt, banana and good bbq from Foxbury farm

In short: A nice local race.
In full: Excellent value and well organised. It was my first race for 9 months and I was aiming for under an hour. Was really chuffed with my time of just over 53 and a half minutes.

In short: Bargain of a race
In full: For £7 (affiliated) you get v smooth organisation, bottle of water, medal and t-shirt. On the downside, the marshals were the quietest I've ever seen - a bit more noise would have been appreciated!

In short: Great except for heat
In full: Excellent race for local runners. My third 10k aiming for a sub 50min which was going fine for 1st 7k then hit a wall due to the extreme heat. Finished just over target time. Will be back!

In short: Great race for first time 10K-ers. Excellent value.
In full: This was my first 10K race, despite regularly running the distance in training. Going into the race I was hoping for a 55min time, but the heat was incredible so I settled on aiming for sub 1 hour - which I managed by 20 secomds! The atmosphere was great and the value for money was suberb: medal, t-shirt, fruit and water presented by a Mayor in full robes who looked hotter than some of the runners! Would definately do this again.
