In short: Lovely way to spend a Sunday Morning
In full: Nice, small race following paths through the country side and then down to the harbour and marsh land finishing at a pub (always a good thing). It's not a race for a PB as there are many gates, stairs and other obstacles to contend with but then it's not that sort of race. Great for the beginner there's a good mix of good club runners, beginners and those that probably pick this as their one race of the year.
Enjoyable and a good lung clearer on a Sunday morning. Oh, and it raises a good bit of money for small local charities.

In short: Informal, friendly event, well marshalled.
In full: It was blisteringly hot and fortunately the organisers decided to put in a water station at 3.5 miles, where origanally there were none planned, good move. The course was very dry and in places quite severly rutted so concentration was required on your footing. Several sets of steps and bridges to contend with which broke up your rythm, but not as badly as the multitude of gates which necessitated stopping and starting to negotiate. The ambience around the natural harbour was great.
Very narrow in places it was sometimes difficult to pass slower runners, requires could etiquette to allow faster runners to pass as and when thay wish.
The race finished at a pub which was just to tempting on such a sunny day, a fine pint of Abbot ale followed 2 cups of water!

In short: Wet but well worth the effort!
In full: First time for me, very friendly atmosphere. Weather wet making for slippery conditions but that just adds to the challenge. Mostly trial/fields, narrow paths - overtaking not easy. Really enjoyed this and will definitely come back next year. Any idea where/when results published?

In short: Not the fastest of races.....
In full: Attracted by the 'flat' five tag, I assumed it to be fast. After the low key start in a pub carpark we soon entered some ploughed fields, and overtaking was pretty difficult. There were little bridges to cross and the odd gate. Not knowing the area, it was a wonderful surprise as we rounded the corner about 2 miles from home to see Bosham Harbour, boats bobbing on a calm blue sea. We passed reed beds with nesting ducks, a mill pond and finally back to Fishbourne to another pub carpark. The initial disappointment of realising this was not a fast race disappeared as I took in the glorious scenery. The marshalls and runners were all really friendly and I thoroughly enjoyed this race.
