In short: Well organised but (too?) big.
In full: Great atmosphere & well supported.
More fun-run than serious race.
The North vs. South rivalry added an extra edge to the proceedings, & the sprint finishes were a sight to behold & to take part in.
Given the numbers it was very well-organised but the large numbers made it difficult for PB potential & sometimes just dangerous.
Corners were bottle-necks & running face-on to the public on some routes was a bit hary, although probably more for the tourists than the runners.
Great idea to get people out running but the numbers/racing need to be controlled better.

In short: Far too overcrowded - who's stupid idea was that?
In full: I read in runners world that this was one of the top-rated races, so although this review is a little late I have to get on here and vent a little.

2005 was crowded, but that was at least spread over 3 parks. Who's bright idea was it to run the same number of entrants over 1 park? It was far too narrow, and far too overcrowded. Dangerously so in places.

Running around near Hyde Park station was the worst bit by far. This is where most people are trying to cross, and also where people start their sprint for the finish.

I love the race in general...the time of year, the weather, the (otherwise) excellent Nike organisation, the training runs, seeing Paula run...etc. But if the format is not altered dramatically next year or the field drastically reduced then I won't be running in future.

In short: Excellent race. Very well organised. Fantastic T-shirt. Nice medal (tho not the best design cos prone to falling off!) Great pre-event training sessions. Hope to do it again this year!
In full: This is the third time I've done this, and again I really enjoyed it. The T-shirts are fantastic - I use all 3 of mine for training. (Maybe more events should offer a good technical T?) The support round the course & marshalling is always fantastic.
I went to a couple of the training runs & really enjoyed them. Kinda wish that they did them all the time! Thought the staff at these were great too - final session I attended was in Hyde Park in the dark, & the marshalls were still out there cheering us on! (Inspired me to do a 5K PB!)
My only complaint (not the organisers' fault!) is that this race always lands when I'm opening a show or the week before or after me doing the Cardiff Half, so I've never managed a PB! Oh well, there's always this year.....!

In short: Another year, another RunLondon, another great day
In full: Excellent organisation, a quality T-Shirt you can keep using, and a decent medal. I even got a free leg massage which hurt like hell, but did me good - hopefully. This is a highlight event of the running year, and the cool but sunny day was perfect.

In short: I like this event. The course is fairly flat so gives potential for a decent time, but it can be crowded at points. I will do this again.

In short: Too crowded and too expensive
In full: You don't have what you pay for. £25 for a cheap t-shirt, no changing facilities, limited bag storage (so they said), narrow and overcrowded paths. The only good point I can see is that it may enocurage people into running. I did this one to join a couple of friends and first-time runners, at a jog pace, but I will not do it again next year.

In short: Really fun day, fantastic atmosphere
In full: I thought it was a great race. Was slower than usual but enjoyed it so much. Really great for beginners and the rivalry made it good fun. Really well signposted water stations and kilometre markers which was great. Not a run for elite athletes, I don't think but fab for people like me!

In short: Great atmosphere, but no PB
In full: A fantastic day out and superbly organised. Plenty of support all the way around, however impossible to get a PB due to the masses of runners. Plenty of celebrity sightings too!
