In short: Nice weather for a day at the zoo
In full: I did this race last year, and intend making it an annual event. It's a fantastic venue, and with zoo entry included you can make a whole day of it. The baggage storage is ideal as you have somewhere to leave a change of clothes and picnic.

The organisers seem to have taken note of what was said here for the 2006 race - a 9.30 start would have been better - and it worked a treat. The temperature was getting quite fierce by 10am, so I was grateful for the early start.

Can't find any fault with the event, and my thanks go to the organisers and marshals for making it that way.

As already noted, it was nice to run past that Onager. I was fascinated to learn it could gallop at 40mph. Not often you learn something like that whilst you're out on a run.

In short: Well organised, good value 10k plus a family day out
In full: This could be a PB course, but perhaps a bit too hot this year. There are no real hills as such, but each lap (x3) is mostly down for 1st half and mostly up for 2nd, so still a bit testing.

£12 entry covered the race plus entry to the zoo and parking (normally nearly £20 for both). Well organised and a nice family day out too, esp with the good weather.

In short: A great family fun day out
In full: I found the run hard, mainly because it was hotter than I have been used to, but it was a great day with very friendly people and a lovely day at the park. Will definitely do again next year!

In short: This will become a must do in a lot of runner calenders every year!
In full: This was a great event well organised, well marshalled, goodie bag, medal and the bonus of running with all those different animals. It was a Hot one though, but with such a great environment around you there was plenty to take your mind away from the heat. I will defiantly be back next year. Well done Dunstable Road Runners and all involved.

In short: Hot stuff
In full: I enjoyed this race due to its pretty flat course. I would have liked a T shirt though.

In short: Beautiful, fun, great day out
In full: So much fun to run through the zoo, and a gorgeous day out too. I took 2 friends who had never run more than 2 miles and they both finished being converted into runners. A fabulous race - certainly the best this year.

In short: Great surroundings, great race
In full: Pity about the heat spoiling my time, but this was an almost perfect race. The organisation was excellent, the views out over the plain absolutely spectacular, and where else do you get to race wallabies and rhinos? Great for families, and race entry even saved on the regular price of zoo admission. Well done Dunstable Road Runners.
