In short: Excellent, again!
In full: This race has it all really and athough some clearly had a problem with the first major turn, route maps are available and i would suggest a bit of pre-planning and the problem may not have occurred anyway. I feel for those that got a bit lost but think of us who had to get out of their way and have our rhythm disturbed.

Anyway, back to the positive stuff. Weather kinder this year, marshalling excellent and friendly, jst generally a great event.

Have the organisers ever thought of spicing this up a bit by running it in the winter or even at night. There aren't enough night races and this would be an absolute classic.

Thanks again to the organisers, I'll be back again.

In short: Very good race
In full: A lovely 15 miler mostly off roads on a mix of trail and woodland paths, plenty of mud and scenery - you would never know you were so close to Sheffield or the M1. Absolute bargain for the price - £5 plus £3.50 to get int the park. Ran with some very friendly KK guys. Only downsides were - toilets and showers (council owned) very dirty and grotty, also a few missing marshalls meant several guys got lost and did an extra mile and they all came haring past us at about 3.5 miles - it seemed to spur them on but I did feel sorry for them - I would have gone wrong if I hadn't been following the KK guys who know the route. Anyway, had a lovely day, faded at around 13 miles but really enjoyed the race.

In short: Great little race
In full: I agree with Kevin, as one of the runners who went wrong, it didn't detract from the race for me, I enjoyed the challenge of trying to get my position back, which I managed to do to finish 1st lady. The marshells are very friendly, the cakes are excellent and I got a lovely hamper of wine and cheese, well worth the extra mile! I will definately be back next year

In short: challenging course with friendly marshalls and a huge array of homemade Cakes with free tea and coffee at the finish, all for a fiver!
In full: First time at this event and I would highly recommend it to others. Ample car parking, toilets without queues,a baggage tent, free tea and coffee and the array of cakes at the finish was a sight to behold.
A great course with some challenging hills and woodland sections. Not a PB course but a great run where time doesn't really matter.
Plenty of friendly marshalls and tape to guide the way. Drinks stations at regular intervals and a mug instead of a medal at the finish. I prefer a small useable momento instead of a medal which just gets put into a draw.
The only hiccup being that a few of us runners missed the first major turn on the course due to a marshall not showing up. We ended up running an extra mile or so. This didn't really detract from my race as I enjoyed the challenge of working my way back through the field. I paid for it a litte in the last few miles when my legs felt like lead. The organisers were very apolgetic at the finish, they shouldn't be to harsh on themselves. They put on a great race with brilliant hospitallity all for a FIVER, I'll be back next year for sure.

In short: Wish I could give it a higher VFM rating!
In full: Great variety of scenery, challenging course and a scenic lake to crash out next to at the end.
A fiver got you a fifteen mile race, drinks stations stocked with water, isotonic drinks and gels. Then a bag full of goodies at the end.

Top it off with a glorious sunny day.

Hats off to the organisers. All being well, I'm back next year!

In short: The cakes were great!
In full: A hard 15 miler, with a few hilly bits. Well marshalled (very friendly too) and well marked course. Goody bag and mug full of tea at the end, in addition to a whole tent full of the best cakes ever!

In short: One of my favourite races - most friendly event around
In full: This is the most friendly event i've ever done. The course is challenging and hard work in the heat, but if you just relaxed it was a great run. Ny second time and with defo do it again next year. Great value and again, brilliant organisation and ever so friendly. Thanks to Les and all the Marshalls!

In short: Tough run but good fun!
In full: I did this 2 years ago and it seemed there were more marshalls this year - a pretty tough course but brilliant value and an unusual distance. I had 5 cakes after - don't tell Les.

In short: Fantastic!
In full: I've done this 3 times now. The cakes at the end are delicious. They shoud rename it Three Lakes and Cakes! The £5 entry is far too cheap.
