In short: Lovely way to spend an evening,, running through the woods. Distance markers would have been useful, especially towards the finish!!

In short: Great setting
In full: Lovely off road race but not as long as advertised 8K. Well organised and friendly. Virtually flat with different surfaces to keep you alert. Appreciated Mars bar at the end! I know this is charity run but it would have been nice to have had vets' prizes as well as prizes for first 3. Yes, parking is a bit dear but organisers made that very clear beforehand in race literature.

In short: no distance markers spoiled what would have been a good event
In full: AS there were no distance markers it was difficult to estimate my pace. Therefore I turned a corner to find it was 100m to the finish line. Otherwise it was a pleasant race. Ideal for beginners. Not too hot as it was in the evening. Playground for the kids. Moors Valley is known for it's extortionate car parking which is why I never normally go there. I will be back next year.

In short: Great atmosphere, will def. do again.
In full: Good mix of club and non-club runners. Nice surroundings, lovely route through woodland. Bit congested at the start but soon spread out. Car park charges were no surprise - we were warned on all the literature beforehand. Will definitely do this one again.

In short: Lovely course, pleasant atmosphere
In full: Once again a very pleasant evening race. The turnout is quite mixed, so ideal for beginners / slower runners, etc... I am sure the distance is "flattering", as I always seem to get an excellent time for 8K at this one. I agree it would be helpful to have distance markers. Organisation has "moved up a notch" from last year with the water station and results - result service excellent with posting on web by following morning. Five of our club did this race and all enjoyed it - we are planning to include on our "club championship" schedule for enxt year.

In short: A lovely little mid week race.
In full: A lovely little run through moors valley country park. I liked the change of surfaces which was fun. a couple of small hills thrown in too. The race was well organised and although I didn't see any distance markers, I don't think that mattered too much.

The only winge was the car parking charges were £4:50 for anything over 2 hrs. Which was nearly as much as the race itself. Personnaly I'd rather give that to charity.

Apart from that I'd run this again.

In short: Excellent all rounder!
In full: I thoroughly enjoyed this race and achieved a PB. I also took part in the xmas 10km last year and again achieved a PB, so great potential for all you beginners out there!
