In short: Hot and Windy on the airfield, but well urganised with a nice atmosphere In full: Very warm atmosphere and weather! Too windy on the airfield, which destroyed my pace, but we're in the lap of the gods with that of course and airfields are always windy.
Great support and marshalling and I would do a third time. However, I have the same criticism as last year, regarding lack of results and results not being available when promised.
This obviously isn't seen as important to the organisers, but it's a key selling point for me and many other runners I know. This one point put me off greatly last year, which is a pity as it could so easily be remedied. Expectations shouldn't be set and then dashed.
Nevertheless, well done a great event! Date of review: July 12, 2010

In short: Tough race in the heat yesterday, but well organised. In full: I was based at RAF Marham back in the 70s so have run bits of this race before, but can't remember ever running it in the same heat which I fould really sapping in the latter stages. Does have the potential to be a fast race. Great nostalgia for me running past buildings I worked in so many years ago. Plenty of water and sponges provided by the ATC, well organised start, finish and presentations courtesy of the RAF team. If I was picky it would be to ask for a secure baggage tent, but otherwise another one to revisit. Date of review: July 12, 2010

In short: Well organised, looked after the runners in very sticky weather. In full: This was my second, RAF Marham 10. Enjoyed it again in conjunction with the village fete. We were all very looked after in quite hot weather, with loads of water stops and sponges. They were very welcome on a day like this. On a perfect day this could be a very quick 10 mile. I would encourage anyone to take part in this race, for the oppurtunity to run round the airfield. Then through the lovely village of Marham. Date of review: July 12, 2010

In short: Very well organised, good race. I'll be back for 2010 In full: Had a good day, It's a nice wee run round Marham. Yes the airfield part of the run is not the most scenic, but there was good support around it from a few spectators and the air cadets at the water stations. Good day out for the family as well as it ties in with the village fete, so theres something to do for the family while you run. Hoping for a little less wind and rain for 2010. In short: Another great turn out for this race. Well organised A++++ In full: Well done to Phil, Andy and the team for another well organised event this year. A very big thank you to the ATC volunteers for manning the water stations - a special thanks to the two young ladies who cheered and clapped everyone through crash gate one, and again on the way out. All in all a great day, coupled with the Marham Village fun day with boot sales and fair rides - shame the rain caught us a bit but I'll be back for my fifth race next year. See you all there! In short: Well organised and friendly race In full: First time here. Enjoyed the event very much. Water was plentiful and abundant at the many stations around the airfield. The marshalls were friendly and efficient. Special mention to the 2 girls near the gatehouse who cheered and clapped every runner going by:-)
The airfield section is rather souless, but you did feel you were getting somewhere with the changing scenery. The course is quite undulating- the hill at the start was a surprise to us. Will definitely be back as an ear infection and injury cost me a decent time, so will return to try for a better result. Date of review: July 22, 2009

In short: Excellent race, organisation and support In full: A good race and surpised to PB, considering the airfield section and windy conditions.
Very supportive runners/ RAF personnel and organisation. Although it was made clear that results wouldn't be available until the Wednesday, it is a tad disappointing to have to wait so long. Having said that though, times were called out as each runner crossed the line, so everyone should have a good idea of their position/time. Date of review: July 20, 2009

In short: A well organised race, linked to the village fair. Many drinks stations around the course. The marshalls, other runners and spectators were very supportive. A bit windy around the airfield today. But overall an excellent day. I'll be back next year. Date of review: July 19, 2009
