In short: Good fast course-pb potential
In full: I did the half marathon and found the course to be flat, flat and very flat! As you would expect in Lincolnshire.
Nice to see so many toilets at the start, but could do with a bit more support from the locals! Well done to the organisers.

In short: 3 races in one morning - something for everyone.
In full: I ran the half and thoroughly enjoyed it. Pancake flat course, plenty of marshalls and a nice run in along the prom. Finishers received a T-shirt, gym bag & medal.

Would suggest the prom needs looking at in future - tourists seemed unaware there was a race going on, could part of it be coned off?

Well done Mablethorpe!

In short: An excellent event
In full: The marathon is fairly small (120ish runners) with more athletes doing the other events. If you like the idea of running on quiet (flat) country lanes, with no sight of the runner in front of you, then this is the race for you. The bottled water and energy drinks were great, the marshalls generally excellent (at the end of a marathon I need pointing in the right direction, even if that direction may be obvious). I preffered this to Windermere or Nottingham (which are both good races).

In short: I LOVE this marathon!
In full: I love the course with its long flat country lanes and great last few coastal miles. The effort put in by the organisers and marshals is fantastic. I prefer less populated marathons so hope this event never gets too popular! The energy drinks were a welcome addition and I met up with other forumites and had a fab weekend in general.

In short: Another Good Race at Mablethorpe
In full: This is the second year that I've run the 10K at Mablethorpe and I will be back again next year!

The course is pancake flat so is made for PBs and the 10K has a mixture of club runners, beginners and charity run/walkers.

The event on the day went OK, no real hiccups and although the crowds were sparse, what little were out there were very jovial and supportive. The run along the front felt like it was going to last forever (something to do with the strong coastal breeze being in my face I think).

All-in-all...a decent race, well organised and great value for money (much better than the Great Yorkshire 10K I ran the week before).

Well done Mablethorpe, I'll be back again next year :o)

In short: MY FAVOURITE MARA TO DATE... BETTER THAN THE BIG CITY EVENTS
In full: I loved this whole running festival that has something to offer for everyone. 3 Races to suit all levels with excellent facilities and organisation for both runner and spectator including... a pasta party the night before, a marquee with baggage holding, clubhouse with bar and shower etc. The marathon course was flat, fast and friendly with beautiful scenic views of countryside and farmland. Then the last 3 miles is running along the coast to the sound of the waves... wonderful!! Well done to everyone involved with the whole mabo running festival.

In short: Mablethorpe 10k
In full: A decent race again this year. Last year I ran the half marathon but this year decided upon the 10k. A flat and fast course - would have been faster with less wind though! No real problems this year, but the organisation could still be a little better especially at the end with the goody bags and runners chips. Will be back next year.
