In short: A very pleasant run with an added village fete!
In full: A thoroughly enjoyable morning in Dorridge. The race itself was very good - with a really nice course, decent provision for runners (water stops etc), and decent support along most of the route. The feel at the start of the race was great however, with the fete attracting lots of supporters - and providing some great cake at the end! Really good - I'll be back next year

In short: Good flat course
In full: I did this race last year and thoughht it was fantastic, unfortunately it didn't live up to my high expectations this year.
Advice for next year - forget the warm-up, it was frustrating setting off late. The race did become quite lonely after 6 miles and could do with more participants - maybe chip timing may encourage more runners.
Good family day out though if that floats your boat.

In short: Excellent race - Fun Run doesn't do it justice
In full: Very well organised and being closed to traffic is a real bonus. Well marshalled and a potentially quick course. My only gripe is that it's billed as an 8 mile race but the 8 mile point isn't the finish; it's about 8.2. I will definately do this again next year.

In short: Gave me a warm, glowing feeling...
In full: Quintessential village life - summer fete, family cycle/fun run, glorious sunshine... Gently undulating for interest. All marshals, helpers, and other supporters were fantastic. The only downside would be that it can get a bit lonely once the 3-milers peeled off, and although it's nice to run in the countryside (I live in central Brum), support gets a bit thin on the ground at times. Didn't realise there was an official warm-up at the start, not really necessary as it was so hot anyway, and people did get fidgety as the race didn't start until 10:45 in the end. Plenty of much-appreciated water stations - thanks!

In short: Could use more water stations on such hot days and more than a half cup at a time! Good atmosphere and a scenic course: well marshalled
