In short: Beautiful day, muddy underfoot, enjoyed it!
In full: A mix of cross-country and roads, largely flat. Well organised with good atmosphere. Country bits / mud make fast time tricky

In short: Well organised, scenic and varied route
In full: First time at the Herts 10k and found it very enjoyable. The route was interesting and slightly challenging given the slightly muddy bridle ways and puddles, and the hill 3km in. Good for family supporters too with bouncy castles, coffee and snack outlets while they wait for you to come back, and a good long stretch for them to watch and cheer from as you come back for the finish. A sell-out this year so great atmosphere too.

In short: got to be good 4th time running
In full: My 4th running of event, well organised and for a good cause Grove house hospice, this year the course was muddy in parts and country lanes large puddles in parts which made it challenging
Water points well located but could have done with small bottles with sports caps on rather the large ones my only moan, mars bar and water and nice medal at finish

In short: Well organised event on a glorious day
In full: 1st time running this race. Beautiful day, alot of mud and a bit slippery so no PB's today. Well organised and good for 1st timers. No big hills and 2 thirds of it track so safe to use your headphones. Would recommemd for beginners or serious runners alike. The big boys & girls go first as there is a staggered start.

In short: A well supported and well organised race which was hugely enjoyable.
In full: This was my first 10k and felt very lucky that it was my local race.I was very nervous having only covered 7k in training and having studied previous race reports and hearing of the dreaded 'hill'. The hill was fine - not steep just long and people should definitely not be put off by it. The organisation was very smooth and it had a great atmosphere with runners of all abilities so fantastic for those seeking their PBs and those doing a 10k for the first time.
Great support from the public. Will definitely do it again next year too.

In short: Well-organised and friendly event in beautiful surroundings.
In full: A great mix of terrain which makes a pleasant change from the normal pavement pounding but you can run in your normal running shoes, even when wet.

In short: I felt it was a good choice to do this local run as my first 10K and first proper race since doing the Great North Run in 2009. A very good, friendly atmosphere.

In full: First time at Herts 10k. A local race for me and really enjoyed the race and atmosphere. Well organised. Hill at 3k was ok, long but not a killer. Will be back next year.
