In short: This is my fourth year
In full: I have been critical over the few years i ve done this race collecting numbers with the big queues, medals same as the year before with no dates on them ect,but this year there was no problem collecting numbers,Ok the walk to fetch the number and chip this year was a decent warm up to begin with ,but i decided along with my wife to strip off at the car luckly.
The problem with putting the start well away from everthing is nobody even knows there a race on and as such there was very little support.
Even my family had trouble finding it.that said i enjoyed the new course and will do it again next year and thankyou to all the marshalls

shouted encouragement

In short: Poor start line planning
In full: Never moaned before but organisation to get to the start line was poor. No signs on the road around Clumber Park until virtualy at the car park. Car park over a mile away from start line so no chance to go back to car if forgot something. Once under way was a nice race but presentation so late hardly anyone stayed.

In short: I like Clumber, I liked the new course
In full: What t shirts ? We certainly weren't offered any. The goody bag wasnt in a bag but like a Crackerjack armful ( note age of runner ). The instructions with distance from car park were a down right lie. It was never 5 minutes to the old registration point this time more like 15. Black marks for One Step Beyond all round

In short: Beautiful scenery
In full: This was my first Clumber 10k trail run and I was a bit apprehensive due to the recent weather, but other than a couple of muddy spots I needn't have worried. Friendly staff ensured that this went off without a hitch although as other reviewers have mentioned it was a bit of a trek from the carpark to the registration area/start line. However that shouldn't detract from a in places challenging course through stunning scenery.

In short: Good race..
In full: Great race, course changed for previous years yet that's the challenge, great marshalls and staff.. Great timing you can print your time of at the end!
Cons.. Car park was or seemed a long way from race..not good!!

Overall a great race from OSB..

In short: New course, still great scenary, good atmosphere
In full: I'm a keen fan of the Clumber 10km and take part each year. This 'new course' is trickier than it let's on. The constant undulations carry you along nicely but do eventually slow you down in places. I have to say I still love it but stood no chance of setting a PB so will try next year. I did forget my goody bag and t-shirt :( I wasn't sure where they were it didn't help that I was quite tired!
My only negative is the walk from the car to the start...quite a way and a few runners were late starting because if it. Not what you want in a race!

In short: Worthwhile with a professional feel
In full: A great race especailly for first timers, offers good experience with hills and sharp bends. No real problems excellent for PB i smashed my previous by 5 minutes so I was very pleased!
Marshalls were helpful and positive. My only concerns were the water points my partner felt it came to soon for him whereas I would have preferred another around the 7.5 mark and had 2. I quite liked the goody bag I wasn't expecting one at all and I love the t-shirts! I wasn't at all bothered that it cost 2 raffle tickets they are good quality shirts :)

Definately worth keeping on the calender, just be aware of the need to turn up early to collect race number and chip don't leave it to late or you'll be rushing around

In short: Improvement on last year
In full: They seem to have learnt lessons with the organisation at the start and finish however it was a very early start to collect race numbers at 8.30. I think when you enter in plenty of time numbers should be posted. Nice momento though instead of a t shirt
