In short: Good race, weather good to us, poor finish and plenty of queueing
In full: great 10k run, although the start was slightly delayed i didnt hear a starting pistol or anything all of a sudden we were going. #nice run throught the park and was able to achieve a pb but the finish wasnt the most organised, i didnt appreciated having to queue before the finish line nor having to queue until our number could be written down, thn having to queue again for our t shirts then queue again to exit the park, i know were English and we do queue alot but it doesnt mean we enjoy it! Also, what was the point of listing our estimated finishing positions if theyre not going to be listed, I cant find the finishing results anywhere on the internet. If they charged more for the entry fee then the organisers could perhaps invest in the chip system, the system being used may have been acceptable in the 80's but not this day and age. I would also have liked a medal maybe insead of t shrt. i am now getting a little collection and would like to have increased it by another one. apart from that well done to the organisers and the helpers.

In short: Champion Chip Timing PLEASE - people should NOT que to finish a race !!
In full: I did this race in 2006 and thought that it was poorly organised, the admin prior to the event is fine and no problems experienced either year. This year I waited at the 40 min + sign which was a good addition to last year with the various time catagories listed in order to prevent the chaos of the previous year. However this year everyone waited a little way back from the start not wanting to claim to be an elite runner, the organisers should have had people walk right up to the line prior to the start but this was not done. The event NEEDS a staggered start with Champion Chip timing next year. It was totally ridiculous that whilst waiting at the finish my friend had to que to get over the finish line with one poor lady taking everyones numbers - sort the start and finish out National Trust and you've got yourself a fantastic race, needs chip timing even if more expensive entry fee. Use the park better, the start / finish needs to be back nearer the main building areas with a wide open finish area. There could ven be family activities taking place to keep young kids happy. Come on National Trust more effort needed !! you're a NATIONAL trust not the local scout troop !!

In short: Beautiful scenic route
In full: A beautiful scenic route through the park. Not as much support as I would have liked but then I did not expect it. The start was too narrow and the finish was poor. I had to queue to get over the finish line, then queue to have my number taken and then queue to collect my t-shirt. Many thanks to all the helpers, without you there would be no race. Maybe for next year you could charge more and have the chip system. Also please can you sort out the finish. I forgot to stop my watch as I was too busy waiting my turn to cross the line. Thanks anyway I did enjoy it.
