In short: A race in which I was happily last!
In full: A race filled with keen runners (a good proportion had run to the start from the finish.) This was my first race at this distance and it was clear from mile one I'd be last, but everyone was very supportive and cheered me on at the end. Absolutely gorgeous weather. Perhaps could have had transport back to blackpool.

In short: flat and friendly
In full: The weather can make or break this kind of race. Weather this year glorious, which made running by the sea a pleasure. Add some wind and rain and it could be horrible. I liked the unusual distance as it meant I could just run without obsessing about being on course for a pb. Slighly contrived loop at the beginning was a bit confusing. Couldn't the race just start further towards central pier? Also, the path is all concrete, so my knees felt like they'd had a bit of a hammering. But a small field, friendly marshalls, lots of lucozade at the finish, and a decent t-shirt.

In short: Fast, Flat and well organised
In full: Good race all round helped by the most perfect running conditions I have experienced this year (not to hot, not to cold and not a breath of wind). Route is along the seafront and although not varied, it was pleasent. Well done to the organisers, the race was a credit to you all.

In short: Good event, that offers great chance of a PB!
In full: A good event at an unique distance!
With this being my only 15k race of the year I had no PB to beat which was a bit disappointing.
Would have been better if this was a proper race distance, like 10 miles or even half-mara. Still Only a small personal gripe, otherwise enjoyed a great day out!

In short: Good race
In full: Good race with nice scenary and the majority of the route being traffic free. Well organised and a nice flat route. Wouldn't have been half as good if the weather had been bad!
