In short: Great Race in a wonderful location In full: Excellent race again this year despite the weather being pretty foul at the beginning although it did brighten and the sun tried its hardest. Well marshalled, a big thank you to the brave souls standing out in the elements for our benefits.

In short: Great race, great views (when you could look up) and good organisation In full: I travelled a couple of hours to get to this race and it was worth it. Good organisation and supportive marshals. Particular thanks go to the marshals by the trig point bearing the brunt of the rain and the wind. Fantastic views when you could look up - lots of foot watching as you go over plenty of boggy, muddy sections and slippy rocks and stones. A really great hilly trail race. Bacon butties, soup, tea and cakes at the finish were very welcome. Well done Weston. Date of review: October 10, 2011

In short: Very tough race - the last climb to Beacon Batch is a killer In full: Organisers need to watch the numbers. A record entry this year meant problems near the start, about 3 miles in, with people having to queue to get over styles. personally, I lost about 5 minutes as a result and missed a PB - very annoying!
