In short: Exteremly well organised, marshalling around the course excellent and very supportive.
In full: 2013 - I live in Dorset now but was born in Southend and took the opportunity to have a “family weekend” (visiting relatives) and, long overdue, run in the Great Bentley Half Marathon.

The parking was very well organised, and the marshalling around the course was excellent and very supportive. It was flipping cold for us runners, so for people to stand around for two and half hours or so, must have been horrendous, but you never would have thought that from the applause and encouragement that all were giving along the way. I must have had around 7 or 8 “Well done Westbourne’s” and a couple of marshalls scrutinising the vest closely, with a little “surprise” in their face, prompting a couple “Hi Westbourne – great to see you”. How about that for Essex hospitality !

This is a great event that I would thoroughly recommend. It is extremely well organised, some lovely (albeit flat) scenery, superb friendly marshalls, race results published within hours. I will definitely make the trip and do the race again.

In short: Such a good race with excellent PB potential and great organisation from a small running club
In full: Third time of running and so glad to have run, despite the high winds; temperature hard to gauge, but glad I wasn't too warm!
I think the 'wind with' out blew the 'wind against', but when it was in your face it was tough! Just missed a PB but there's always a chance of one here.
Cannot fault the organisation, the marshalls and communication. Roll on 2012.

In short: Very fast course
In full: This is the perfect course if you are lookng for a PB. It was windy, but there are hardly any undulations. Nice and scenic, well organised, would have been nice to get the number ahead of race day, but the race cannot be faulted otherwise. Marshalls excellent. Thanks Bentley Runners.

In short: Couldn't fault the race - third year running and no real problems
In full: Head wind made the PB disappear, but race day organisation no problems. Even collecting chips/numbers on the day went (surprisingly) without a hitch. Nice rural course, good marshals and water stations.

In short: Great Race! Well Organised
In full: I ran this last year and came back for more. It's a Really great race! Windy today but still managed a PB by over a minute. Would rather have had a technical t-shirt than a mug. But this really is a lovely rural race, away from the crowds with plenty of PB potential.

In short: GBRC organises a great race again
In full: Glad to come back to my favourite HM after a couple of years break. A very well organised race on a fast course -what could be better? Can you switch the wind off next year though please?
