In full: a brilliant way to run off the turkey and xmas pudding.yes the 4.75 miles is a very rough estimate, ignore that and just enjoy the fresh air warm down on the beach afterwards, unbelievable value for a fiver--porthcawl lions double it to 10 and it will still be a bargain

In short: a good race to thaw you out from the xmas morning swim!
In full: well marshalled and slick organisation.
some debate about distance, but when did you last do a race advertised in furlongs??

In short: Good intentions and enthusiastic volunteers, but yet again, need someone to sort out the organization at the finish. Junior medals are wrong (again) and timings are all wrong. This race is a sleeping giant !

In short: Good fast course.
In full: Good little race with enthusiastic organisation. However, I understand the finishing times are all wrong from somewhere before 37 minutes- the stopwatch packed up. My time and at least one other is out by 4 minutes! We corrected it on the sheets at the officials request but the official results are still wrong. Still I know what I achieved (a PB!!) and will be back next year to do even better.
One point- after running 5 miles, water would have been nice at the end.
