In short: Great christmas run. In full: I really enjoyed this run. Great group of people, good organisation and good course. Very muddy due to more rain this year (makes a change) :-D i only had standard racing flats need trail shoes really. Overal really enjoyed myself and finshed with a nice medal and christmas pudding. Would just love to see some results now and see how i got on. where will they be posted?? Date of review: December 17, 2012
In short: Wonderful race and a great way to start x-mas In full: Everyone really got into the spirit of the event with santa's everywhere + some reindeer, x-mas trees and all sorts of variations of the festive season. It was definately muddy but was great fun and a race I would do again. Loved the medal, and the mince pies and mulled wine at the end nice touch. Date of review: December 17, 2012
In short: Excellent race, mud glorious mud! Fabulous atmosphere amongst fun runners and club runners alike, love the festive medal - nice touch. A steep incline, twice makes it interesting. In full: You can always rely on Martin and his team to deliver excellent races. Just how races should be. Such a bonus being on a Saturday too, can still fit in another cheeky race on Sunday too! Mince pies and mulled wine at the end, even a xmas pud, very generous. Well done to everyone and thank you. Date of review: December 15, 2012
In short: Great race, mud and hills and more mud! In full: Great race, nice medal, lots of mud and twice up the entrance hill, which seemed alot longer 2nd time around! Followed by more mud. Not the full 5 miles but still Very enjoyable, will be back next year! Date of review: December 15, 2012
In short: Good as ever... In full: As ever, a cheerful seasonal run. A great venue too. Mice pies and mulled wine available in the warmth straight after the race, which is hard to beat. The course is a good reminder for me to keep up my hill-work! Date of review: December 18, 2011
In short: Mud & Xmas puds & mud & mince pies & mud - superb fun In full: Having started this first year of running with a nice works event it seemed appropriate to end it with another event by the same organisers and what a treat. The course had to be shortened a bit because of the mud from the recent storms but who cares, 2 laps of glorious scenery, a short and nasty climb and a brilliantly absurd descent down a muddy hill the other side made this challenging but hugely enjoyable.
The organisation was very slick, the marshalls were encouraging and accurate in their directions and the value for money was brilliant when you consider a Xmas pud, an original medal, a mince pie and mulled wine were waiting for you at the end.
I can't wait for next years event - very uplifting! And muddy. Date of review: December 17, 2011
In short: A good way to start the festive season In full: Their were a lot of club runners here taking it very seriously, and a fair amount of people in Christmas fancy dress. A steep hill at the start and at mile 3, and a muddy downhill section. Only negative was the water station that didnt seem very well manned. Overall very good value for money and lots of goodies at the end, although why the medal says "kent"on it is beyond me. would definitely do it again. Date of review: December 17, 2011
In short: Value for Money In full: The secenery in this two lap race is lovely, but be warned -there is a winding hill at mile 1/3 followed by a nice downhill albeit muddy and slippy in places. Car parking was well directed and the race marshalling was excellent and cheerful. There was a drinks station halfway round and at the end you were rewarded with a christmas pudding, a cup of mulled wine, a mince pie and a medal - Seriously good value for money. Slightly confused by the engraving "Kent Christmas Cracker"on the back of the medal considering we were in East Sussex,(presumably from one of their other events) but a medal is a medal and a very nice christmassy one as well. Definitely up for this race next year -lovely scenery, good organisation and value for money. Organisers please note: This could be a fantastic run in the summer! Date of review: December 17, 2011
