In short: Great Race I hope CHASE made a lot of money they deserve it
In full: I thought it was a lovely event and well organised, it would be helpful to send out numbers in future as it felt cold standing in line collecting them, perhaps if we turned up at 8.30 as suggested it may have run a bit smoother. The start was a little bit of a shambles I think mainly due to the weather quite a few of us were left at the start because we could not here the start instructions. Everyone who was helping either out on the course or at the start & finish area were fantastic,Thank you for an enjoyable race

In short: Shambles
In full: The team at AAT should be very thankful that they have a fun challenging course to make up for everything else that was lacking. The start finish line was none existant, no timing for the race, no separation of 10k runners vs 4k runners at the start line, a water station in completely the wrong place, collecting numbers in the rain (presumably to save on postage) and shambolic parking. The rain gave the event a good atmosphere and added to the challenge and for once there was a medal at the end, but overall I would say the race was good despite the organisers, not because of them.

In short: Lame organisation of a beautiful run
In full: 1) would be good to send out a MAP to the race, or post a better map on the website. Also, would be helpful to send race numbers in advance rather than having to queue up on the morning...

2) Organisation on the day was seriously lacking. Parking lot (or should I say parking field) was terrible. No marshals directing any traffic. A muddy free-for-all trying to get out of the field at the end of the race.

Shame, really, as I've done this race before and recalled that it was lovely, which is why I signed up to do it again. However, based on experience this year (weather aside), I will probably remove it as a fixture from my race calendar.

In full: Organisation fell down this year. No map to the race course provided, complete parking chaos (over an hour to get out of the lot), long lines everywhere, maybe some marshals did not turn up due to the poor weather but it was a mess

In short: Good fun run in bad conditions.
In full: A lovely very wet and wild november morning, an off road route and a thousand runners equals lots of MUD. A good challenging undulating course, made more interesting by the continuing downpour. Great fun.
The start was chaotic, needs some work for next year.
Well done to marshalls remaining cheerful dispite the weather.

In short: Mud mud glorious mud!
In full: A fantastic and challenging race. That hill is a killer - barely worth even trying to run up it. A mix of terrain (massive hill, cross country, road) made much harder by the difficult weather conditions; driving rain and gale force winds. The bogginess of parts of the course made it impossible to run so I settled for falling on my backside instead and finished the run caked in mud. What fun!

In short: Tough race but enjoyable.
In full: This was a tough route made all the more harder by the weather conditions and mud. A good training run and the event had a nice atmosphere. I found it to be pretty well organised.

In short: Great course but just needs better organisation
In full: This is the first time I've run this event and I was not that impressed with the start. Ok it was raining very hard but the organisation was chaotic and not much better leaving either. The one and only water station on the course seemed to be in the wrong place as well.

However, the marshals were excellent and deserve a big thanks for braving the weather, its a run for a good cause and the course is excellent in most places.

Still very much in 2 minds as to whether I would run this event again.
