In short: Perfect for Beginners and PB Chasers Alike!
In full: As flat a course as you are likely to see makes this event perfect for both first timers and those chasing a personal record time. A big field of nearly 600 runners this year meant a slightly congested start, but things evened out fairly quickly to allow runners to find their pace.
The looping course of 3 laps, (one small, two big), made it ideal for spectators who could see their runner go past up to half a dozen times if positioned carefully!

A couple of narrower paths and pavements became a little crowded due to the nubers, but nothing to to cause too much of a problem - but slower or novice runnes need to be aware of the etiquette of moving over for the elite/faster competitors.

The event has a good family atmosphere and lots of un-affiliated runners mixed in with the club vests for a goo spread of experience.

Gody bag sems to be something of a Lucky Dip with runners reporting a variety of different contents! I got a quality towel with Natterjack Seaside 10k embroidered in gold, along with a medal, energ gel, cereal bar, Asics pen and some sort of skin cream. Others report getting a t-shirt but no medal!

Excellent value all round with extremely easy parking and good organisation.

In short: Quick and flat, PB potential.
In full: I enjoyed this race. The only problem was with people just walking in front of the runners without any consideration. The actual course was good and I think I will be there next year.

In short: Flat and very enjoyable. Great goody bag.
In full: My first 10K and thoroughly enjoyed it. Parking is cheap and easy. Nice park for warming-up beforehand. Flat course and great for spectators who can see their runners several times on the course. Will def do again.

In short: broke my 60 min barrier at last GREAT
In full: Did this last year when I was new to running now a year on I took the bull by the horns and set out to break my pb for 10k to come in under 60 mins I did it 58.17 yipee!! It is such a good flat course round a park I don't mind this repeat lap race as the views are good and the marshall are always smiling. This year it was cold which probably made me run faster. I don't like the cold. Well done everyone great job.

In short: Enjoyable
In full: The start was a bit crowded getting onto the pavement but overall a good flat course that gave those chasing PB's a strong chance of success. The location itself has good facilities and the race had a good mixture of speed merchants and social runners at the rear Value for money wise a decent goody bag that made the £9 entry fee worthwhile a decent crowd of people to motivate you along. Will give it a go next yaer
