In short: Good chance of PB as long as it not windy
In full: I really enjoyed this race. You have to be over 35 to enter but that doesn't mean the runners are slower. A good range of all abilities. Marshalling was excellent and the route was very pleasant and flat. I think most people left straight after the race because of the weather and having no shelter at finish. I think it is well worth doing. Make sure you leave enough time to get to the start as it is a good walk away from the registration area.

In short: Nice Sunday run along the sea-front
In full: The first time that I`d done this and there seemed to be a supposition that most people were local / had done it before and knew how everything would operate.

The instructions received in the post were basic and rather jumbled and the race `hq` was the best part of a mile from the start. The start involved a daft couple of laps of a little car-park with the air sand-filled. The course was quite well marshalled but there were no spectators as such and runners all disappeared as soon as they finished. The goody bag included some choclates with Santa on them (honestly), shower gel and a tini deodorant.
Thankfully, any run on a sea-front has obvious plus points (even in such poor weather) and I would maybe consider doing it again now that I have the knowledge!

In short: good flat course for my first 10 miler
In full: enjoyable race for a beginner like myself as there were all abilities some way way better than myself and some of similar abilities. I enjoyed it even the wind that cooled us down as we ran but made it more difficult at times bringing with it mini sand storms on occasion. Would definitely do it again!

In short: A well-organised and well-marshalled race. If you are looking for a quick 10 miler, this is worth doing.
In full: A well-organised and well-marshalled race from St.Annes to Lytham and back. Shame it was so windy for the second half of the race which will have slowed people down, because this is potentially a very quick 10 miler.

In short: Good warm up for Wyre -Fleetwood marathon but I was a bit distracted by the gale blowing in my face on the return leg.

In short: picturesque and bracing - it's British summer, after all
In full: great way to see inside a fire station! very good workout: on the way out, i didn't notice that the first couple of miles are slightly downhill, but i sure did on the way back. you must like sand in your eyes. and hair. and in your sweat beads. you won't regret doing it - i hope.

In short: flat, out and back course, great PB potential on a windless day. Hard work running into the wind on the way back today! Marshalls superb - all had words of support.
