In short: Great intro to the madness that is ultra-running!
In full: I really enjoyed this introduction to the world of ultra marathons. Dreadful conditions only added to the sense of adventure and uniqueness of the event. My vote for beginner-friendliness relates to ultra's not normal running!! You still have to get your head around the challenge especially when the course had disappeared underwater!!

A big thank you to all the organises, marshals and volunteers. Great job!!

In short: A classic day
In full: My first ultra, the hardest race I've ever done and also the most fun. The atmosphere and camaraderie among a relatively small group of runners was outstanding. The splish-sploshing along a flooded Thames Path was good fun (so long as you was sensible about it, which everyone seemed to be) and the challenge of plotting a route around the flooded sections felt a bit Keystone Cops at times - in a good way! An absolutely brilliant experience and my best ever running experience. I'll be back next year, as a runner or volunteer.

In short: Great race through the waters of the Thames
In full: Great preparation race for the MDS. Due to flooding this year we had to make lots of diversions however everyone was really friendly and I'll be back for more

In short: Awesome
In full: What a day.
A fantastic first ultra for me and one I'll definitly do again. Brilliant support, and some of the check point marshalls must have been at their points for over 12 hours in places.
Fantastic.

In short: Potentially a great race but totally destroyed by the weather...should have been postponed
In full: I don't want to spoil all the celebrations...and I am proud of all you who enjoyed and finished the event...but for me this was the most disapointing race I have ever taken part in. partly my own fault because I imagined ultras to be extended marathons but I cvan't understand why this race was allowed to go ahead in such adverse conditions which could have been life threatening in some cases. This race really needs to be held later in the yera to avoid such bad conditions.

In short: Great introduction to ultra running

In short: A water adventure to be had by all
In full: Mental. this is my first real ultra. The start was a wet as could be. I don;t mind a few puddles but almost up to the waist is a bit different. the Weather was to be expected, WET. but the Atmos we without doubt superb. I chatted to complete stangers who got me round the event (love the name on the Number bib). I learned onething on this even, don;t scrimp on the lighting. I did and found that part dificult.
