In short: My first ever organised race
In full: For this, my first ever race, I brought the family out to help combat my nerves and thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, a big step forward on a major weight loss programme

In short: A good local race...
In full: I was pleased with the first Devizes 10k. It was a well-balanced course with even ups and downs and was well marshalled. Enjoyed the weather - after all a nice drop of rain and wind makes it a bit more of a challenge doesn't it? Managed to shave a minute off my pb too - although I do tend to run a lot of hilly 10k's! Thanks for the banana at the end. Overall a good value race - well done devizes!!

In short: Terrific event
In full: Yeah. Enjoyed this one. Despite the weather and the hill I knocked a minute off my PB.

So who agrees the route was undulating then? I reckon it was undulating. Bar the dirty great hill near the beginning! Will be back next year

In short: A few long hills but not too challenging
In full: Organisation at the start line could have been better. We had to walk over the line before we turned round ready to race. Some people were still walking through the crowds to the back when the horn went. Was the first time the event had run though (I think) so can forgive them for this.

In short: Can't fault it
In full: Not much to add that hasn't been said really...

Excellent organisation (especially for a first time race), a challenging but fun course and good facilities. Hills were testing, but the downs seemed to compensate for the ups!
Once again, the standard of care and attention to detail at these small regional races puts most of the bigger ones to shame (that's aimed at you, Cardiff marathon).

In short: Excellent organisation, fabulous atmosphere, great marshalling, unfortunately nobody could do anything about the terrible weather! Still a great race even with the weather and hideous hill!
