In short: Excellent post-Christmas wake-up call
In full: It was a very chilly and foggy winter's morning, but excellent organisation, a nice flat course, and a bottle of beer on finishing, made it a great end to 2008. Roll on next year!

In short: Bracing but brilliant New Year's Eve jaunt!
In full: Enjoyed this 10k very much, despite the icy temperature which must have been hard on the marshalls and supporters though they didn't show it, cheery and encouraging all the way. Bagpipes were a perfect touch, though again the poor guy must have been freezing!

I would definitely do this one again.

In short: Fantastic social event.
In full: Ran 2 legs for separate teams and I had an interest in another 2 teams from a social aspect. It was really nice to have interest all the way through the field as clubs battled organisations battled mixed teams etc...

In short: A brilliantly organised relay race
In full: This was great fun despite the weather - a strong wind combined with the terrain made it very hard for the later stage runners - but was very well organised. The results were up by the early evening, remarkable with sixty odd teams each with six runners to sort out.

In short: Really well organised relay race along the river from Ely to Cambridge and back again, worth doing even though weather was terrible
In full: Ely Runners do a great job with this relay race - most of it is off road and you get to see some beautiful scenery along the river between Ely and Cambridge. The weather this year was truly awful, but even so it was still worth it, and all power to the stewards who stood out in the cold all day.
