In short: A quick 10K In full: Quick 10K, one climb, plus a slow drag on the 7K to 8K mark. However, a couple of quick down hills, especially approaching the finishing line. Have done this route several times and again achieved a PB today. Nice medal, well organised and good value. Look forward to the September run! Date of review: March 23, 2014
In short: Amazingly well organised with PB to boot! In full: Organised to raise money for Breast Cancer, the Mad March Hare was a joy to run. Over 700 people running/walking 5k/10k events simultaneously, marshalled by the Army Cadets, with plenty of parking and parking attendants and, get this, lots of sunshine and support from the locals :)
It was a great day without any problems or complications + free salsa warm-up while you waited for the off. My only complaint was the absence of timing chips - it would have been nice to have accurate results/positions for those of us who care for such things. But as the Mad March Hare is in its infancy as an event, I imagine, and hope, that this will be addressed by next year.
Very VERY well done to the organisers, and a big thank you to Mother Nature for the clear skies :) Date of review: March 8, 2010
