In short: Great marshalls, great atmosphere
In full:
Brilliantly organised. Great having the massage afterwards with a cup of tea and jelly babies. Would have preferred a nice shiny medal than a wrist band :(

In short: Not certain I like being passed by all those 10 milers
In full: With the 10 mile race starting just 15 minutes after the 20, I was being passed on my first lap which made trying to follow the person in front a bit difficult and so my pacing suffered a bit which I paid for at the end.

Apart from that a good race, nice marshalls, good organisation, t shirt not bad, nice and flat, nice and scenic.

In short: friendly marshalls, good route
In full: this was my first 20 miler ever and the marshalls really helped to push you on! great preparation for a marathon. however, the water station just after mile 16 ran out of water when I got there (after about 2hrs 35mins) and the next station was at mile 19! that was maybe the thirstiest i've ever been!

In short: Great training for Spring marathons, and very encouraging marshalls
In full: Not everyone would like the two lap format, and the short out and back to make up the distance, but a very well organised race on quiet lanes, with a nice technical t-shirt as a memento, and hot drinks and cake available afterwards.
It did seem pretty congested at registration & chip collection - huge queue for D - H and it would be nice to have a timing mat at the start, but I would definitely do this one again, and recommend it to others.

In short: Organisation was generally good. Bit of a queue for numbers and last but one drink station ran dry.
In full: My only real beef was the ban on ipods. Seems OTT for a race of that distance. By all means advise that volume be kept down so marshals can be heard. Lots of runners train with music and to ban that for the race we've been training for seems unnecssary. Several runners ignored the ban anyway and not aware anyone was disqualified.

In short: Perfect running conditions!
In full: A big ding-dong to the bell-ringer at the 6/16 mile point. Fantastic route with lovely scenery. Marshals and locals very supportive, even the local farm animals were making encouraging noises on the way round!
