In short: took part as training for LVM found the course challenging, what with the hills both up and esp the down hill towards the end excellent value for money can not wait for the 17 mile

In short: Essential running for marathon build-up
In full: Vittel water was very welcome as were the lovely cakes at the end. The organisation was fantastic as always and everyone involved in it was very encouraging. As long as I can still run marathons, I will run this (plus the 17 and 20).

In short: Amazing! Better organised than most races and all for a fiver
In full: This training run had it all - friendly runners, supportive marshalls, 5 wave start over 10 mins to avoid congestion and squash, tea and cake at the end. I was never made to feel slow and even though it took me nearly 2:20 to finish there were plenty of people hanging about at the end. Water stations at 4 and 8 miles and a jelly baby station at mile 9 was enough to eliminate the need to carry too much hydration / nutrition. If I was being picky I'd put in a request for cake to be homemade, otherwise can't fault it! Bring on the 17 next month!

In short: Good training run but watch out for the hills!
In full: A couple of long steep hills but good overall. Tow path had become very muddy by the time we came back to it and was very narrow in places so hard to pass people if needed. Excellent organisation though and fabulous marshalls!

In short: Def liked the second half better than the first!!
In full: did not like that loooooooooooong hill up to mile 4 water station which was welcomed after mile 6 got in to my stride and paced picked up but until then i struggled..loved the scenes along the canal and running through ashridge: marshalls where plenty, supportive and encouraging.
