In short: Can't find fault In full: I'm normally one to review pros and cons, but I really can't fault this one anywhere.
I had an issue with my bike and the marshalls were incredibly helpful and went out of their way to help me. Marshalls were also fab at cheering us on and knowing what's what, running/cycling the same route was managed well and really good to keep passing the crowd near the school for cheers. Free technical tee was an added bonus. Everything was smooth, ran like clockwork, really easy signposting everywhere, burger van for my specators, got in and out the car park with ease despite being so busy, juicy oranges at the end were yum, fab wave timing for start meant competitors were around to help out and cheer before and after their race, a good mix of begineers and elites, great competitors cheering eachother on while passing, a welcome hot shower for afterward, the bike route was incredibly scenic round fields and the neighbouring village, a couple of challenging hills made it interesting...
A perfect event for first timers and elites a like. Date of review: September 26, 2011

In short: Established organisors deliver at the sprint level with well supported scenic race In full: Good location, plenty of parking, good size transitions, well marked out course, very competant marshalls, good atmosphere at the main event site. Pool is odd distance so 414m swim, well disciplined staff with plenty of info re: rules Bike, slightly lumpy but testing in places, quiet roads for the majority if you start early. Run, 4.5k offroad and tarmac out and back, good finish chute, plenty of support. Recommended for beginners and elites alike (and there were a few) can cope for all tastes, no downs, great race. In short: Well organised & friendly, really enjoyable for my first triathlon In full: I've been promising myself I'd do a triathlon for years as I ride/swim frequently & have recently taken up running, this was a great first event with signage, marshaling & organisation being excellent, the only fly in the ointment was parking, a competitor parked across the entrance to one of the overflow car parks which left a number of people with nowhere to park. I had a lot to learn at this event & got a lot of help from fellow competitors & marshals. I'll definitely do this event again. Date of review: September 27, 2009
