In short: Fast, friendly size, fluid organisation but no-frills
In full: Part of an evening race series, the 5km course consisted of 2 large laps of Battersea Park, on tarmac. Set a road pb on in this race despite racing over the same distance 2 days prior so definite speed potential, comparable to the Serpie course in Hyde Park. Battersea is used for all the Sri Chinmoy London races so it could get a bit boring if you were booked in for the entire series but knowing the course is also an advantage. Friendly atmosphere yet competitive at the top end and age group medals and water/squash at the end were a nice touch for a bargain race. Great way to spend an evening, only qualm would be that some of the other park users seemed blissfully unaware of the fact there was a race on and at that time of day it's pretty busy.

In short: Great race, slick organisation, good value
In full: This was my first Self transcendance race, and I was not disappointed! It was the 10m on saturday morning and I loved the fact I was on the train on the way home by 10am!

Organisation was super, turned up, registered within seconds, bag drop was easy and efficient. Enough toilets for number of runners, banana and snack bar afterwards, and all for £8, can't go wrong in my book!

In short: Well worth getting up for
In full: My first of this series of Battersea Park races, and well worth being on a 06.50 train for. Very reasonable entry fee, no frills but all the essentials in place. Excellent organisation, from registration to bag drop to finish funnel. Laps ensured equal opportunities for water and loo stops if necessary! An added bonus of racing with Portuguese Paralympians and my morning was complete. Thanks to all involved.

In short: Brilliantly organised as always
In full: It's the 3rd time I've done one of the sri chinmoy AC races in Battersea park and it is always a pleasure to take course. Entering is easy, and picking up your number and dropping off your bag is always straight forward. The marshalls around the battersea park course are numerous and cheerful, and the whole race is a great. The course is also completely flat making it ideal for getting a good time.

In short: Flat multi-lap course that's ideal for a PB.
In full: I ran this a lot quicker than I was expecting to, despite being overtaken by the 1st place guy shortly after starting the first of the four bigger laps. Lots of PBs all around, I'd have thought, as this is an entirely flat course and you get buoyed along by the runners around you. The organisers have it down to a tee and this is a race I'll definitely do again.

In short: Small but perfectly formed
In full: A great run organised early on a Saturday morning. It feels great to get in a race so early in the weekend. Really well organised. Faultless in fact. Nothing but nice things to say about it. Thanks to all the organisers.
