In short: Very enjoyable race
In full: My 2nd 5K race in Bexhill and, again, a wonderful event. Very well organised, nice medal, marshalls are fabulous, and the weather was perfect. Only disappointment was missing a PB by 12 seconds!

In short: Much better than I'm used to
In full: As someone who lives in Staffordshire, just being able to do a race on the coast where you can see the sea was fantastic. The organisation was great and someone was always on hand to answer my questions in the week before (very important as I had quite a long way to travel).

In short, I loved this race and it'll probably be the highlight of the ones I've done this year.

In short: Great race. Yes, please return old course.
In full: I have to agree with the last comments regarding the course and the medal. Though still fast, the old course was also more interesting than lapping. Brilliant organisation and the cakes were a nice touch too. Thank you to those who baked them.

I managed a sub 45 min PB, though I did forget to wear my chip. Speaking of which, I personally prefer the chips that weave into laces, as I had one of the strapped ones gnaw a hole in my leg when running in Rye recently. A cheerful event. I will be back next year. Nice one Bexhill Runners.

In short: Can we please have the old course back!
In full: The Bexhill 10k has become perhaps my favourite 10k... until this year.

Instead of a pleasant run along the sea front with the teasing Galley Hill in the middle, this year we spent only about a third of a 2 lap race running by the seaside; the rest was on roads and by construction fencing. This made for a flat and fast run, but a boring race with hardly any spectators to encourage us on and no view to cheer us up. Why on earth didn't the route go out to the east where there was no construction, where all the people were, and where we could have run along the seaside as usual?

And then, instead of the great, different and colourful medal of the last few years designed round the year, we were presented with a disappointing medal that looked like a Christmas chocolate! Boring to go with the race I guess!

But then this was the Bexhill 10K. It retained its great organisation, really friendly nature, and the super cakes at the end! Oh, and I beat last year's time by about 3 minutes in spite of pulling a muscle, so it wasn't all bad ;-)

In summary: I love Bexhill, I love the seaside, and until this year I loved the Bexhill 10k. But please, please can we have the old route and old medal designs back next year.

In short: When I think of Bexhill 5k, my face lights up.
In full: When it comes to organising races you do have to hand it to Bexhill Runners. They really do have great organisation skills.

Lee, Paul and all Bexhill Runners have always organised great races. Over the years I have built up a great rapport with some of the runners. I have run various Bexhill races but my favourite would probably be Bexhill 10 miles. It is mentally and physically tough; I still get nightmares about that race.

Bexhill 5k to me is similar to Serpentine 5k. The only difference is that it is near the coast. It is just like a party on the beach- just without the balloons, ice cream, pop corn and candy floss. I really enjoyed the free home-made cakes, my compliments to chef.

These races are for kids, adults and all the ‘Jack be nimble and Jackie be quick' runners as well as the slowly but surely runners.

This race caters for everyone including myself!

I noticed that my running club - Petts Wood Runners was not added onto my result :=(

Great race Bexhill Runners. I love the 2010 medal!

I must say I had a blast running Bexhill races. Keep up the great work.

In short: My favourite race of the year
In full: This is my favourite race of the year, but for some reason I was well off the pace this year, running a full minute slower than last year! But that didn't detract from the occasion.

The new start position worked well; the marshalls were great; the organisation and folk at the start/finish was very good; the scenary is great for this run; and the late summer sun and warm weather meant it was great to dive straight into the sea for a cool down afterwards!

Thank you once again. Sure, I'll be back!
