In short: One of my favourites
In full: Will definitely do it again. Agreed start area was a bit of a guess about where to be. But did not detract from a lovely, friendly, well organised race. Great work by the marshalls and beautiful warm day.. what a great start to a Sunday. & a PB to boot!

In short: I keep coming back!
In full: I love this race and have run it 3x previously. I was coming back from injury and struggling a bit in the first 6 miles but by Hampton Court suddenly clicked into form and finished on a strong negative split. Having started near the back, this gave me the enjoyable experience of passing runners for the last 7 miles with no-body overtaking me.
Big thanks to two stutuesque brunettes who made my first 6 miles much more enjoyable, flanking me throughout...

In short: Friendly and very helpful organsation but one suggestion
In full: Flat scenic route, sensibly early start on a warm day, and very helpful organisation - my race pack didn't arrive, and the response to my enquiry was very rapid, and the issue dealt with very efficiently on the Sunday morning. The marshals were very helpful (one even asked me if I was OK at 11 1/2 miles; I thought I was, but obviously I must have looked different). However, I didn't see any marshals in the last mile when some runners were in trouble, and these might have been helped more quickly if there had been marshals every few hundred yards at this stage. But if I'm in London again at the right time of year I'd do it again.

In short: Very hot morning race
In full: The start was very strange, everyone kept walking back and forth to pub and richmond park gate as no signs to say start is at the lights. It was a hot 8.30am morning, wore too much as it was raining before the start. The heat got to me at mile 10-13 and no more water station after mile 10. I knew I wanted to collapse but I slowed down and with determination I finished and collapsed at the end. I do believe it is a fast race but more water stations after mile 10 would have sped me up. The medal is really nice. I didnt eat the banana or chocolate at the end as I felt like dying from heat. This was a great race for the money and plenty of fast runners to provoke you to run faster.

In short: Absolutely loved it! I can't wait until I can do it again next year!
In full: This was only my second half marathon and I managed to shave 20 minutes off my last time (different event and more training). I enjoyed every minute of it and particularly enjoyed my Lindor Egg on the way home. :o)

In short: Fast race on a flat course
In full: Weird start aside, this is a great event. A flat, flat course with not too many sharp turns, it's near perfect for setting a PB. Unlike some others. didn't experience any traffic issues.

Would recommend this to everyone, particularly those looking for a time. Will be back in 2012.

In short: Early start, fast course, low key event, great race!
In full: Early start well wort it to avoid traffic as roads were not closed. Well organised, well marshalled, fast course, with minimal but friendly support (probably due to early start).
I would like a lot more races like this, cheaper to enter, no razzamatazz, just a friendly, well organised event, with people running solely for the enjoyment of running.
Great race Ranelagh , will be back next year.

In short: Good enough to make up for the early start.
In full: This was a well-organised race, even with a start which is by necessity a bit manic. The course is fast, but there were parts where you needed to look out for cars.
