In short: Hot long hills
In full: Nice race to start the summer 10k season, too hot for a PB this year.

Easy to over take this year, due to the low turnout on previous years numbers, Race needs to be advertised more, only seems to be publicised a couple of weeks prior.

Well organized local race will be back in 2012

In short: All those hills yet still managed a PB!
In full: This has 3 challenging hills, and is not great for runners who get bored doing laps but it is such a bargain for a nice course, nice organisation and good mementos at the end. Also, access to showers a real bonus - all for a tenner! It's very clubby and competitive, but if that doesn't bother you, then go. Rapidly becoming one of my favourite London 10ks and yesterday's PB really helped colour my view (even if I did feel like dying on the second hill...)

In short: Watermelon at the finish: what more could you ask for?
In full: Starts and finishes on Hampstead Heath Extn but the race itself is along the leafy suburban roads on the perimeter. 2¾ laps of the same course featuring a brutal uphill followed by uncontrollable downhill, which scuppered it for PB potential.

Amazingly organised: the police were on hand to control traffic, marshals were well-placed along the course, and I can't downplay the awesome experience of watermelon at the finish!

It was a bit more competitive than a lot of races I've tried: lots of club vests and by the looks of it some pretty respectable times. Not really a bother for me, but beginners might find it a little daunting. That said, still the usual good atmosphere that you can expect at club 10ks.

Would definitely go again.
