In short: Challenging race of a hot day
In full: I ran this in 2008, and it was challenging as it was warmer than expected. Very good mix of on and off road, with excellent marshalling. Recommended

In short: A superb inaugural race. Well done!
In full: I must admit I was weary of how things would go on a first time race, but good grief they couldn't have done it any better! I was expecting marshalls pointing the wrong way, trees on the route and water stations with no water.... Boy, I was wrong! The marshalls were excellent, there were signs warning you of slopes and slippery ground. There was even a gorilla giving out bananas at the end.

I can only congratulate the organisers and say I'm looking forward to next years run. How could they top it?

In short: Best marshalls I've seen this year :-)
In full: A fantastically friendly race in beautiful scenery. Organisation was top notch, including great communications about how they were handling the impact of the postal strike. Marshalls were friendly, supportive and numerous. Hills were a challenge as I'm not used to this terrain, but not as bad as I had thought!

In short: Great race, well supported, fantastic marshals.
In full: Fantastic first running of what will hopefully become a regular fixture in the calendar. PWR did extraordinarly well in to organise such a smooth event within their first year. Added bonus was that I could walk to start - had no idea there was such beautiful woodland on my doorstep. Definitely be back next year.
