In full: Great,well organised event
But is it me ? - Although the race starts and finishes on the same level - there didn't seem to be as much downhill as uphill !

In short: Varied scenery and a good challenge on an undulating course so you don't get bored.
In full: I love everything about this race; superb organisation and the car parking is a doddle; the route is scenic starting in old Beverley with it's minster and walls through the Westwood pastures and back along cobbled streets. A fair bit of support along the route - just a really friendly event that leaves you feeling good.

In short: rain cleared just in time
In full: The weather looked as if it would spoil the day but the rain eased as we moved to the start and cleared completely before the off.
As usual a well organised event and this year with chip timing at the start and the end all went well.
There a two hilly bits on the course and if you are not on your game they can take it out of you - and they certainly had an effect on me this time. Despite not having the best of runs it was still a good way to spend a Sunday morning and the technical long sleeved shirt was better than most race shirts. Also good to see a huge pile of fruit at the end.

In short: I enjoyed it!!!!!
In full: Really scenic route for my first 10km run, thankfully the sun went behind the clouds for the race though.

The first half is challenging with that long hill up the Westwood but the support from the crowds is enough to keep you going.

Obviously going up means you come back down.

Only problem for me was the start, we walked over quite late so found a lot of people were ready at the start despite the clear markers for your anticipated time I couldn't get to 40-45 minute ranger.

I thought it wouldn't matter too much as it was chipped but apparently it was all timed on the gun so I lost some time. My own fault really for being so blasé :p

Anyway I timed at 42.47. I'm happy enough with that for my first 10km..

In full: Managed a PB according to my watch but no official time recorded for me - must be a chip fault.
