In short: Could be a great race with more thoughtful organisation.
In full: A great park for a race but the route was very confusing. On the last lap runners were diverted round an extra loop but the marshall directing people wasn't sure what lap people were on leading some people to be sent the wrong way (this wasnt his fault he couldn't have known). The late start was unfortunate because it was roasting hot and the results are not yet on the website even though the race was a week ago.

In short: Do it....you can do it!!! Great little race....especially for first timers. Very well organized in a fantastic setting. Only thing it lacks is shower facilities so that you could stay in the park and enjoy a drink afterwards.

In short: Friendly and helpful marshalls, control of spectators could have been better
In full: Really friendly marshalls and organisers, but sometimes they seemed in the wrong place - I had to tell spectators with prams and dogs to get off the course three times.

Would have been helpful to have a clearer map - it was pretty impossible to figure out the route and where the assembly point was.

Lovely scenery, and came away feeling I had pushed myself because of 'that' hill!

In short: A quiet pleasant race, nice scenary and well-organised with fantastic marshalls.
In full: Having to run up the worst hill in Roundhay Park TWICE was a bit of a shock as unfortunately the map they sent out with the info wasn't very clear so it was near impossible to work out the route.

Not many spectators apart from at the finish line but the enthusiastic marshalls were really appreciated and the atmosphere was still really nice.

Nice medal + goody bag and a well-organised enjoyable race all round.
