In short: Great way to spend a Saturday night
In full: . Good start, great course, plenty of cheerful, friendly marshalls. Great run to test speed, hill climbing, balance and sense of humour. There was enough water, but wasn't clear or that well organised. Good commentary at the end. Ran out of mugs, which disappointed as they were very nice. Alternative 250ml water bottle no consolation as could have been from anywhere.

In short: Extremely well organised, great evening for runners and spectators!
In full: I decided to enter this event at the last minute to run with some friends, and it turned out to be a great decision. I can only reiterate what has been said in the reviews of previous years events, extremely well organised, superb marshalling and nice food/beer at the end! The guy on the PA system was particulalrly good in keeping everyone informed and entertained.

The event also has lots of things to keep the spectators (particularly the young ones) entertained. There is a playground about 100m from the start and there are two races for the slightly older kids (under 9's do 1 lap of the field and over 9's do "the stinger mile"). There is also BBQ/Massage Tent/Tea/Cakes/Raffle and a bar in the club house(for the older spectators ;-) ).

The course itself is hard work, but with great scenery at the top. There are lots of signs and marshalls (who were very supportive the whole way round). It was a bit muddy in places which was tricky on the way up and even worse on the way down! You definitely need your wits about you during the descents!

Highly recommended race.

In short: Beauty of a trail race!
In full: My first ever trail race and enjoyed every minute of it! Marshalls were excellent and overall organisation was brilliant. Run back down was slippery and a bit dangerous but made for a great race. Definatley back next year, well done to Almost Athletes a superb race, views made the middle of race well worth it!

In short: A pure joy to run.
In full: Not for the feint-hearted, but when you hit the top, its worth every bit of the effort to get there! The run back down is near suicidal (that may be just me?), but this is such a friendly, smooth well organised run, I could run this every week. Big well done to all the marshalls - the friendliest, most helpful I have ever come across. Brilliant!

In short: What a great race organised by people who actually looked like they were enjoying themselves. My kids thought the Childrens races were great as well. I'm back next year!

In short: Testing, friendly and value for money
In full: A great up and down course, marshalls were brilliant, very good goody bag for entry fee and a great friendly, relaxed atmosphere before and after the race. The barbeque and cakes were also a great extra. A benchmark for other races. Hope it doesn't get too big and lose that which makes it great.
