In short: Great event well worth the effort.
In full: I enjoyed this very much. I expected a few more competitors, but a healthy number started. Running lanes on the roads were a little narrow. Weather - although dull and overcast it was still bit too warm for me, I am glad it was not hot and sunny like London! My time was only so so. Fairly flat but there was an unexpected long incline near the start. City v City competition was novel and interesting, I suspect the flatter Glasgow course may have helped the final result! Will be back next year.

In short: Highly recommended
In full: Could have done with a few more participants to add to the atmosphere but overall it exceeded expectations. I will run it again. Thanks to sponsors & organisers.

In short: Super race, great atmosphere
In full: This was a really nice 10K, differed a lot from the usual courses round Strathclyde Park. Shallow hill in the first kilometre, but nothing too hard. Nice to run past the mausoleum. Good water stations too. Nice warm up at the start, the TV cameras would have been better aimed at the fitness instructor than the crowd though, so we knew what to do. ;) Hopefully, this race will go from strength to strength. More early warning signs up for the locals would be good, so that they don't get too frustrated trying to get into/around the park with several hundred runners using the routes!

In short: Good fun!
In full: Great idea, nice route with an unexpected long hill at 1K - where did that come from!?! Highlight of my day was knowing I was in the same race as Liz McColgan -albeit about 15 minutes behind!!!

In short: No bad!
In full: Really novel idea, very varied field that catered to all speeds, good atmosphere and cracking value. And Glasgow won too!

Not so great turning up in the rain in Strathclyde Park to watch London baking in the sun on the big screen though!

In short: Probably the most enjoyable 10k I have competed in
In full: Fantastic race, unbeatable value for £10. Hopefully this event will go on to even greater success in the future. An hounour to line up alongside Liz McColgan although Gail Porter stole the show for me! Despite a dissapointing time on the clock for me, I had a fantastic time. Well done Glasgow and thank you to our sponsors!

In short: Great feeling to run for your city
In full: This was a great idea, the felling that you get knowing that you are up againest other cities makes you dig that wee bit deeper in order for your city to come out on top. Well done to those who ran as glasgow came in in first place!!!
