In short: Nice race but 10k?!
In full: Good cause and a nice event but it must have been short imho (a lap of the lakes cannot be exactly 5k).

Quite a small 10k field in Sheffield of 81 runners and a good spread of ability. A shame that more folk didn`t do it and a pity that you had to wear the cotton t-shirt provided; surely there could be a better way to show solidarity?! Maybe provide a tech t-shirt or vest or something else to publicise the cause.

Hope it is back in 2012, remeasured.

In short: iffy timing spoiled it
In full: Chip time was 1 minute faster than my watch time despite starting on the front row, and official result shows the bloke I overtook with 300m to go finishing before me... disappointing as I have no idea if I actually got a PB or not.

That aside, the runners seemed to enjoy themselves and there was good blokey football banter round the course. Marshalls were great too, very friendly and supportive.

In short: A great race but timings were shot
In full: Took a while to find the Start line but once there, good organisation and a good atmoshphere.

Think the 5.6K started late due to some technical problem so the 10k started later than it should. This didn't detract from the actual race though.

Got into a good pace and once I'd done the first lap and got a feel for the route - was an ace race! The route took us around the park and was very flat which was brilliant (after having done some serious uphill and windy races recently).

The support on the way going round was fantastic - a big thank you to all the people who shouted support (especially the woman in red hoody - made me smile!)

Overall the race was one of best and favourites from this year and got a PB of 43.49.

A note on the timing though. When I finished the instant result machine said I finished in 53.15 which was well out (many others commented on the additional 10 minutes or so to the actual times!) I then checked the online results and they say I did it in 42.43 which is now taking off a minute of my time! ARGH?!?! did anyone else find this with their time?

I'm glad I timed myself and got my friend to time me aswell as in this case, was definitely more accurate!

Overall a fantastic race with PB potential. Great organisation and for such a worthy charity! Oh and a nice medal too! Thanks!

In short: great track, nice weather, organisation could have been better
In full: Not being too familiar with victoria park, I did actually spend about 20mins rushing round the park before I found the starting point just in time to begin!

The route was great, quite scenic (aside from the ongoing construction work) and refreshing. It was a shame the signage and marshalling wasn't as good as it could have been, as I realised afterwards that I'd actually missed off the final part of the course which made me feel a little cheated out of gaining a new PB!

In short: Great run round Vicky Park
In full: Really nice race, very flat course with good PB potential. Could have been slightly clearer with the distance marking and finishing area, as a couple of people were allowed to finish without completing the course. Not their fault - just could have been clearer marking of the route.

Not to detract from the race though, good fun run.
